    So I have to ask...
The whole reason i came back to neopets was because, about 2 weeks ago, I got an email saying that I un/pw requested for that email address (my head-honcho email). All of them had been frozen, which was no surprise to me. The only surprise was this un request, which I never sent for. It'd been years since my last log in.

A few days to a week later, I got an email stating I had been frozen on ragnarok, something which I don't even remember having ever signed up for.

And then just this past week, my email address was compromised. I had log in activity from two different countries I've never been to, and both times I had emails sent from my address to my contacts containing a "woe is me I need money but look what I did here and I Dont need money any more" type of emails. The logs said that the two countries log ins were accessed by messenger authorization.

Now my question, because I figured some of you may know better than I would, is if these things are connected with one another?

    Thanks in advance.
JSYK though, I did change everything over to a new email account and changed pws to -everything- and right now it's just sitting there rotting, but no activity as of yet.

    It's connected.
Change your email password if you haven't.

Okay you most likely have a Keylogger. Now usually I am posting this on Yahoo Answers but to get this off you need to get a free antivirus program if you do not already have one on. I had a keylogger on not too long ago. It stole $15 from my Paypal but Norton got it off and I got refunded. Anyway run a full scan on a antivirus. AVG is best free antivirus for keyloggers. Just changing your e-mail address won`t help since as soon as you log into your new e-mail they get all the information and even if you change passwords for everything. That is the only way which will work and is free. You may also have a virus so antivirus is you best bet for this to stop I think at least.

Yeah I have changed all my pws and such
And I do have the paid version of Avast ultimate internet (the highest one they offer), and it's constantly running, but they don't say I have anything. Are you sure it's a keylogger? Cause nothing has been tampered with, other than the sends of the emails. And nothing since I changed everything over.

You can get it from anywhere. Maybe you just didn't realise it. Is it running a full scan because usually always running means it is running a Quick Scan? Once you answer this we can move onto the next step because I think I know if it may be a Keylogger what you are doing wrong.

Honestly when I noticed something suspicious (as far as the emails being sent), the first thing I did was run a full scan on avast, and then another full scan when that was done with malwarebytes, just in case.

    You don't have a keylogger.
You just used the same passwords for most sites.

I still think Keylogger since I had like the same password on all accounts too. (I do not any more) and I thought that too but I did. Keyloggers are VERY hard for an antivirus to find. Try running it in safe mode. I did and it found it while when I didn't it did not. If it finds nothing then you probably don't. Good luck. =)

Sounds like a virus to me. Keep in mind that hackers can always protect their keyloggers/viruses to keep them undetectable so most anti-viruses may not find them.
