    - wait, why the hell are you transferring money to his "mover"? Did I read that right? sounds like you're a middle man in some kind of money scam crap. there have been a lot of stuff like this here where people are sent money wired to them and they take a cut of it (thinking they are doing an actual job - customer service, payroll, etc) and then they wire it to someone else, but it's really stolen money to which they have to pay back once they get caught. I'll try and find an article on this somewhere.

Isn't scams with checks very common? At first you get the money when you cash it in, then the bank calls you a few days later saying that there's been a problem of some sort and you need to pay them back the money you got?

Exactly what is it that you're selling?

Whoa - "NEVER WIRE FUNDS VIA WESTERN UNION, MONEYGRAM or any other wire service - anyone who asks you to do so is a scammer."

Pretty specific to your situation. XD

Sounds fishy. You'd think he'd have other things to do rather than buy furniture when he's on a honeymoon with his wife.

yeah but I was confused since I'm not wiring anything...and instead giving the money to someone else?....o_O

oh you should see some of the other emails I've gotten
they're all about the same as this one...different context (like out of town for business...etc) but same basic structure

I have to agree here, the last thing I was thinking about on my honeymoon was furniture... and is it me, or did the phrasing in general sound weird to anyone else? I had a cousin that was going to purchase a car from Craig's list, but the person wanted the transaction to go through ebay (without listing the car to "avoid fees") it was SUPER strange and I told him he should check it out before he sent money anywhere. It was similar to this one because the phrasing just seemed weird, and sounded like the person (who was supposedly english speaking) used an online translator to create the response.

I never have people meet me at my house :nope: when selling something nor do I give out my address, you never know if you get a crazy person until it's too late!

Call me paranoid if you like, but that's how I feel. o_O
