I'm thinking about buying a computer from Cyberpower, but I don't know about the quality of the company. I've seen some reviews of bad customer service and building, but does anybody have any experience or knowledge about the company?
http://www.resellerratings.com/store/CyberPower Seems like a mixed bag of reviews. Why not build your own computer? It's so much easier to troubleshoot/etc when you know exactly what parts go into your tower.
I think you're going to get a lot of people on nf.net telling you to build you own. And they're right. I built my own in April, and I've never been happier. I know exactly what's in it, and how I can upgrade stuff. I just added a few case fans and a CPU cooler, and I'm getting a new gfx card soon. you save money too, if you wait for deals to come up. It took me about a month to pick the parts I wanted, using sales and stuff. I got it at about 30% off regular prices on things.
Well extrapolating from this post: computers-and-technology-f9/amd-vs-intel-t31052.html I'm guessing he's getting it for someone else. It'd be safer to buy a fully packaged computer than to buy the parts and hope they work.
Yeah, for my uncle...I don't wanna take chances just in case he doesn't like custom-made. If it were for myself, yeah, it would be a lot easier to just build my own. But then again, my mom would freak out if I had all this crap on the floor (or anything on the floor, for that matter) if I didn't finish in a day.
