Desktops are better in my opinion > easier to upgrade, cheaper - generally speaking better performing too.

My laptop is much less powerful than my desktop so I'd have to say desktop x)

I prefer Desktops. In my experience, all the computers that I have ever used except the the one that I'm using now which is a Laptop, have been Desktops. Desktops perform better in my opinion. The only reason I don't have one is because I got this Laptop for free from my Mom. :p
It's not too bad with games and performance though.

Desktop, all the way. Love my setup :)
If I am mobile, then laptop.

What a stupid question, not specific enough.
Obviously the answer changes whether the subject wants power or mobility. I'm not going to be dragging my desktop everywhere because laptops were made to be portable. But I'm not going to get a laptop if I want a serious setup.

If you're asking which I would rather have as a main computer, I seriously hope everyone would answer with desktop. Definitely going to own both, however. Can't code on the toilet from the desktop in my room.

    Hi!
I like to use laptop as compare to desktop because of some reasons and why I like to use laptop now if you will be using it for, for example, if you were using the laptop to do some video editing, then you would look at the size of the memory (RAM) so that you could smoothly run some HD footage (I dont see why anyone would buy a laptop for video editing to do SD). You would also have to look at the size of the HardDrive, you can get over 1 TB on a laptop which is big but can be expensive.

I like both. My laptop had a lot of problems but at least I could bring it anywhere. My desktop had no problems but it is not portable.

I have been a diehard laptop person for the last 7 years or so. Though I recently became rather attached to my work computer.

If you don't plan on moving back and forth, then desktop. If you plan on taking it where ever you go, then laptop. I have a laptop which can play almost any type of games with pretty good specs.
