Do you think TNT is too strict?

  1. Yes! Their stupidity is creating a cycle which hurts them more than it helps.

I pose a question to all of you. Do you think that, recently, TNT has become far too tyrannous in their decisionmaking? For example, instantly chain-icing anyone they suspect of cheating. Do you think that this is fair?

Some (myself included) argue that by freezing cheaters, only more are created. Consider: Someone is unfairly frozen for ABing. They didn't autobuy, their account was completely legit. They lose hope and consider their options. They could start again, legit. They could start again, and cheat. Or they could quit entirely.

Most people are so addicted to neopets that option 3 is out of the question. This leaves starting legit, or starting nonlegit. The first option means that it will take an incredibly long time to gain their neopoints back. They may never do it. And it might be all for not, they could be unfairly iced again.

However, Option 2 (cheating), solves all the person's problems. They gain everything back quickly, if they are iced again, they just do it again, and they're able to get back at the idiots who froze them in the first place.

I may edit this post later on, add a bit more content, but I got tired, so I'm likely going to bed now.

They used to be far more lax in their rules. You could run refreshers for 24 hours a day and not get caught. My friend made millions way back when like that.

Only in the past couple of years have they resorted to extreme tyranny.

Well, if you think about it, you can't blame them. People used to run rampant with ABs, glitches, scams and more in the past. They knew they could get away with it without TNT doing anything. Now it's TNT's turn to run rampant. Though TNT has always been seen as corrupt.

I believe that TNT has gotten far more strict lately.

The only reason I started cheating was that they froze all my accounts because they suspected e for using a 'downloadable cheating program'.

I lost a Island Krawk, Tyrannian Draik, Maraquan Hissi and a Royal Aisha.

to be honest if it wasn't for programs like the AB I probably wouldn't cheat, but they are so rampant it's almsot impossible to win anything. same thing goes with the auction, always loose to autosnipers, say, when are we going to develope one of those?

    I completely forgot about autosnipers.

If we developed one of those, we could make it so that you could set it to refresh on an item you see very early, so it sees what time it switches to less than 30 mins left, therefore it would know what time the auction ends. It would be harder to catch, because it would not just bid over and over again.

yeah they have become more strict.
I mean, it took them two weeks to give me a default response when I tried to appeal my unfair legit ban.
    But of course, wasn't unbanned.

Chain bans are ridiculous. They should take the little bit of effort to distinguish which accounts belong to the person who broke the rules because too many people are unfairly banned that way.

The thing is though, they cannot tell if it was your sister playing your account, or mom, or anyone else - so they do what they can to 'stop' it all in one shot. I imagine this came about because in the past I'm sure tons of people who were frozen claimed it wasn't them, it was a family member/friend.

While some probably were telling the truth, Neopets sees it as if you're cheating on one account, you're most likely cheating on the others as well. Though this isn't always true, but you have to look at it in that light - there is no genuine way for them to determine exactly who was sitting at your computer or who exactly was/is logged into an account when it happened.

And glodrush, I am the same way. I only AB - and that is because I got so pissed off trying to RS things legitly and always missing, and it wasn't as if I was slow either.
