Its pretty clear and obvious that I hate apple, so meh why not share the "hate".... Im sure most of u like Apple and are gonna get mad at me, but hey writing this was a fun way to release stress.
I just don't like how they substitute a few cool looking features for quality and longevity... Examples:

The whole life of the Ipod: Remember the FAT ass 80gb videos? hmmm wow now they have a 160gb that is half the thickness, sure is cool that they can develop such a massive improvement in size in so little time! Apple engineers must be THE BEST!!! Wrong. Tricky apple bastards knew that if you started out crappy, people would keep buying thinking that this is FINALLY the best buy! Lets start with the picture Ipod... Cant play vids? well obviously it could have, but apple wanted to milk a few thousand poor suckers into buying an Ipod that only holds pictures so that they are now forced to buy another video wen it comes out rendering ther picture Ipod USELESS. What I am trying to say is that Apple could have released the thin 160gb Ipod 4 years ago, they just tricked suckers.... the fat 80gb ipod was only made fat so that they could release a thinner version a few months later and make a few extra bucks. It might be smart business tactics (And its pretty damn genius), but I call it bastardry, becuz it simply is tricking the customer.

The macbook air: OMG WAT AN AMAZING COMPUTER ITS SOOO SMALL AND AMAZING, I WANT ONE! The macbook air is a piece of crap. the air has No builtin Ethernet port meaning if you go to a hotel with only an ethernet port, which is like 85% of hotels, ur laptop is USEEeeeeelesss.... The battery is not removable... This is a beef I have with all Apple products WHY CANT YOU TAKE OUT THE BATTERYS? Ive replaced my own laptop battery thrice... Batteries DIE out and need to be replaced.. Its just inconvenient and annoying to have a fixed battery. No built in DVD drive.. not thaaaat bad, but hey, not good either. Its missing basically all of the common ports on the back of most laptops giving you tons of problems wen presenting with a projector etc.

The Iphone 3G: Soooo cool the touchscreen is amazing and the phone is the bomb! Well actually its too much crap crammed into a beautiful (LOOKING) device. There have been reports of the new Iphone melting just for leaving the GPS on, and like always the touchscreen is a bit ambitious and is likely to have the same problems as the crappy 1st gen Iphone, like freezing/always breaking. Third party apps SUCK... On the Nseries devices you could whip out mario kart/ awesome stuff like that... haha iphones can dream on. Yeaaa umm 1 word, LOCKED::. Thers no freaking card slot! I dunno about you, but I have a phone with 8gb internal mem, but I also have 2 8gb microsds that are taped to the inside battery cover of the phone making them easily accessable..

Baaaasically: for the 2LDR people: Apple uses clever tricks such as releasing lesser technology than they could in order to get people to buy the better stuff whenever they wanna release it, slapping a device with a seemingly awesome feature that is either the only good thing about it, or causes the device to suck/melt in the iphones case.. Be sure to look closely into any product you want to buy from them, Im not gonna lie, some of ther laptops are alright and now that they finally released the ipod that they always could it might be a good buy, but just be aware of ther trickery!

I have to disagree with you on the iPhone.
Never heard of the phone melting...o.o. Don't exactly know where you heard that but it sounds like BS. The touch screen is amazing, and I have NEVER had problems with my iPhone. The third party apps are amazing. Do you HAVE one? Because if you don't then your rant is useless and pointless.

The new 3g iphone melts.... not the old one... I had an Iphone, but sold it after its 3rd problem.... my phones almost never break, and then this iphone dies and freezes all the time... The third party apps suck compared to nseries and that HTC phones, I also had the old Ipod, the black and white piece of crap which broke alot and got all scratchy even tho I did everything I could to avoid it getting like that....

This guys iphone melted and burned his leg wen he fell asleep with the GPS running: http://www.intomobile.com/2008/08/01/ip ... s-leg.html

    lmao :D

Yeah, I agree, I dislike Apple. Even more so than Microsoft on some things. Their products are overly expensive, well into "extortionate" territory. Plus, everything about Apple is proprietary, once you buy an Apple product, you are completely DEPENDENT on Apple for every little thing afterwards including bug fixes, etc. But if there's one thing I like about them, its that they know how to make good products. Even if you don't like the cost, or their marketing, you have to say that they make some pretty sweet stuff.

Well no [IMG], Sherlock! Apple is a company and they have obviously found a great strategy to get a big slice of the pie.
And if that's not enough, let me throw some numbers at you.
The 80gb iPod with video capability was released in 2006 and discontinued in Sept. 2007. The 160gb iPod with video capability was released in Sept. 2007 and the only difference between the two is that the 160gb weighs 5.7 ounces (old 80gb version weighs 4.8 ounces) and the depth is 0.53 inches (compare to the old 80gb version with 0.43 ounces).
So no, the thickness is not half the size, actually it has increased with the new version.

I have never had my hands on a macbook air so I won't comment on that.

The iPhone 3G? First I need to mention that even though you might not care for 3G (I don't know where you live but I'm guessing somewhere where the 3G coverage isn't great) but in Europe 3G is very widespread. In fact, here in Sweden 98,5% of the people could get a 3G contract because of the availability of 3G masts. It's very important and it's a very good way to keep in contact with work mail or your friends on msn or whatever you want. Most of the time you don't have access to wifi since you're on the move. I haven't had problem with the screen (on the first gen, sicne you said both had the same problem) freezing up any more than what my older cellphones has done. And when it actually does freeze up on me, it's much more easily fixed than regular cellphones. The melting story is a single person who it happened to. Supposedly he fell asleep and woke up with a burning sensation in his pants. The funny thing is that it's blue on one picture and that his "mark" resembles more a scratch than a burn. Anyway, it's not confirmed what happened.
Third party apps are great. Instead of just having a smartphone, you have an actual small "computer" in your hand. You have the ability to keep up on your patient's health if you're a doctor, if you're into games then it's pretty much one of the best hand held devices you can get (it has been described first as between the DS and PSP and later as the DS and PSP combined, by id Software co-founder Carmack at QuakeCon 2008). And then there's tons of other things I could let you know about. But the best things aren't those that have been released. It's those that will come. Four months is what the developers had until the release of 2.0 and the app store. Just think what they could do in 8 months.

tl;dr: Read it anyway and get your facts straight

My facts are straight... THey have released multiple 80gb versions, Im talking about the 1st 80gig and the most recent 160gig. The burning problem has been proven by like 10 different online stories and a friend of mine who says that sometimes it gets too hot to pick up. And I know they are a company that wants to make money, but they employ bastardry tactics to make it, which i guess is all good from the businesses pt of view, but not too hot from the consumer who is paying too much.

Obviously they aren't. I compared the specs of the newest 160gb version and the first 80gb version with video. Not the 80gb version that is out right now. And the newest 160gb version is slightly thicker and weighs a bit more than the first 80gb version. The appearence is different, but the dimensions are (except for the above) exactly the same. So it's probably just your eyes playing a trick on you.
The online sites are different but it's the same story and same guy. Otherwise I'd like to see some links.

I must say, it gave a thinking when I read your post. I must confess I have an 80 gb ipod video but when 160 ipod video and ipod touch came... my mp3 is not on the line of trendy... well, I still enjoy my ipod but kind of feeling low because the price that I paid for my ipod video before can buy an ipod 160 now...

There job is not to save people money; you can't fault them for their business tactics. It obviously works, so why the hell wouldn't they do that?

I could never dream of buying an Iphone/Ipod/Mac.
Iphone: They look to advanced for me. Yeah, sure it's cool with all the stuff it has but .. uh, I don't see how I could use it :3 I have a musicphone anyways, and internet on my labtop? XD
Ipod: it could be cool, but honestly.. I don't like their designs. Especially not the new nanos -.- and I don't need that much space plus everybody has one
Mac: sure they LOOK cool. But I think they suck.

and all the reasons you mentioned. Never thought about them releasing late on purpose actually xD

I love my Video Ipod. It is about 3 years old and the only thing im lacking is a touch screen. Ill never have enough songs to fill up the memory that it has and the only upgrade that I would actually want is if it was a... well nothing. Its just holding out for the smart buy. As for the iphone, thats what they get for rushing out and buying it at the brand new price. I have been holding out 2 years and, so far, have saved $200 and a slew of glitches. I plan to buy one eventually, but not now. NOW the macbook air. I will back Apple to the end, but on this one, they have to go in alone. The air, with do disk drive or anything actually required from a computer, is such a piece of crap. Ill stick with my macbook, works great and looks good.
