Sorry its a little rant on hockey, and normally i'm not a huge fan, but it's just...two years ago we were ONE game away from the Cup, and bam we lost to Colorado. This year? What pattern are we seeing? Every time there are 10 seconds or so left in 3rd period, and we're like one point ahead, our players get totally nervous and the other team can score really easily. I think every one by now is seeing this weakness. There have been way more than 10 games {or more} that happened and it's the BEST way to attack us, during the last 20 seconds or so. Bleh......I understand the anxiousness, but it seems like sometimes they are giving up because they know there's 10 seconds left and give i ntoo much confidence that they will win for sure. My hockey rant..which is odd cuz my boyfriend follows and I don't..but I find that kinda lame either way X_x
lolz at the useless n00b post (I know I'm new too, but come on) Anyway, you guys are currently 9-8-2, which isn't terrible. Also, in only 2 games this season have you lost by 1 goal in regulation...you lost 4-5 to the penguins (a game in which you were down 0-5 and came back) and the other one you lost to columbus by giving up a goal with 1:09 remaining. So that is 1 occurence in which you have given up a late goal to lose a game. The only other time this season that you have given up a costly late goal was to...guess who?...the colorado avalanche! With 10.9 seconds remaining, the avalanche scored to tie the game at 2. They ended up winning in a shoot-out after the overtime period. So really it's only happened once or twice this season...5-10% of the time isn't great but it's not something to get too upset about. I'll cut you some slack since you don't actually follow the team
