So pretty much I need a higher post count, so I figure I will help out in what I know best, sports. If you have any questions about any sports played in the US just feel free to ask. You can ask me what I think about something, or if you just need to know information, just let me know. So anyone excited for Baseball season?
Alright so what are your thoughts on the Mariners this year? they signed a bunch of new player, namely Figgins and Lee, but so far have not produced enough wins to be thought of as a viable contender in the league but they still have the rest of the season (plus their my second favorite team behind the Cardinals!).
I think they will have their share of struggles, especially while cliff lee is on the DL, but I think ultimately they will end up right around a .500 team. Franklin Gutierrez has shown tons of potential as the best defensive outfield in baseball, not to mention he is starting to hit a little bit. While their outfield is quite solid, their infield is still weak and for them to really contend, they will need either kotchman or wilson to step up. And hopefully jose lopez and their catcher rob johnson can manage to at least not hurt the team too much.
Guru: Brahmans who served as teachers for the princes of the imperial court of the Guptas. Yay AP world history!
Nice, that means that I am a teacher of princes? Then maybe I should be king erik, not prince erik lol
YOU MUST PICK ONE FOR ME I DUNNO? College Football: a) FLORIDA IS BETTER THAN USC b) USC IS WORST THAN FLORIDA HALP!!!!!!!
So angie, you wanted to make me type lol. I, as every person should, love sports. Sports are physical activities that requires physical prowess and competitive nature. Usually these are played between teams or individuals.
I have a question. What is your perspective on entertainment such as cheerleading and gymnastics and ice skating being considered sports? Personally I think they deserve this credential though I have a lot of friends who beg to differ and I just leave them begging If you do consider them sports, what is your argument to those who say they are not?
Gymnastics is most definitely a sport. They are just insane, and they compete both as teams and individuals in events, much as track. Ice skating meets the requirements for a sport, although it is a series of competitions, rather than a sport. They competitors are athletes, but doesnt make it a sport. Cheerleading not a chance. Although both take a lot of skill, not a chance for either of them. First we start with Cheerleading. disect the name and you can tell it isnt a sport. They lead cheers, who are they cheering for? A team that is playing for a sport. Cheering for a team isnt a sport, although they do much more now, it is all on the basis of cheering, which means no sport.
Yes in general that does describe cheerleading but they have a lot of camps and competitions where the cheerleaders are cheering to get votes to win a trophy. And some cheerleading squads just do competitions for trophies. So wouldn't that make it a sport?
Not a chance, my sister happens to have been a pro cheerleader (united cheer association), and even their competitions are teams that are being judged on their ability to cheer. And although there is no specific team they are cheering for, it is all on the basis of cheering for a real sport. Great athletes, but not a sport
Ok then. How about TCG. Any of them, Bakugan, Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh .... Magic has been aired on ESPN for their competition .. Doesn't that mean that it is a sport? or how about paper rock scissor? I have seen them air a competition of that on ESPN as well. hmmm ?
Nope neither are. A sport requires athletics, although that is only one of a series of criteria. Those miss the athletic portion of the criteria
