    Basics
You are in a board full of square grids. Your ship starts in the center, and there are various enemy ships surrounding you. The idea of each round is to destroy the enemy, either by making them crash into each other, or by shooting them, which you can do by either clicking on your ship or pressing spacebar.
You can only shoot sideways, and your shots go for three grids before disappearing. They also go through stones. If an enemy is destroyed by a shot, it will leave a debris cloud, which other ships can crash into. There are also rocks randomly place on the board, so certain ships can crash into them.
There are four vortexes on each corner of the grid, and when you move onto it, the vortex will transport you to a random place on the board. Usually this is a good thing, as it transports you away from the enemy, but if you're unlucky, this will transport you right next to an enemy.

You have the first move, so you can move in any of the 8 surrounding square grids. The enemy will then move one square grid. Then it is your turn again. Shooting takes up one turn.

    Enemies

There are three types of enemies.
The basic enemy ship. These guys are the easiest to kill, and the easiest to avoid. These ships will head straight for you, and die a lot because they don't avoid rocks, debris or each other!
The most annoying enemy, the red ships. These ships are smarter, they will avoid other ships as well as obstacles. The only way to kill these guys is by shooting them, or using an empulse.
[IMG] These are comets. These enemy are indestructible, but there will only ever be 1 of them in the board, and start appearing on level 6. They act like type 1 ships. Since they cannot be destroyed, clearing type 1 and 2 ships will clear the level for you.
    Gems
[IMG]Blue gem:These appear most often, and are worth 50 points. Usually worth getting in the earlier levels, but not worth the risk in the later levels.
[IMG]Red gem: These will, upon contact emit an electro-magnetic pulse in a radius of 2 squares all around, destroying type 1 and type 2 ships, leaving no debris behind. Very useful if in pursuit. There is a trick for this. When you reach it, press spacebar. It will make your ship shoot, wasting a turn. The ships will move, crashing into the em pulse that was released by the red gem.
[IMG]Purple gem: One of the most useful gems in later levels, this will downgrade type 2 and type 3 ships. Type 2 into type 1, and type 3 into a rock.
[IMG]White gem: These will give you an extra life. These are great, and in later levels, depending on how you're surrounded, your lives can be eaten up pretty quickly, so these definitely come in handy.
[IMG]Green gem: These are pretty neat, although they make the level a bit longer. Once you touch this, you remain invisible to the enemy, so the enemy will now move randomly on each turn. If you aren't careful, they will crash into you. You can now destroy the enemy in your own leisure.

    The trick

Here's a trick that's a bit hard to learn, but if you master it, you are sure to get 2nd trophy, or even 1st, if you're lucky.
    The basics of the trick:
Timing is very important. For example, in this scenario:
I have two ships within my range (3 spaces) that I can kill. A beginner player will shoot once, and wait for the ships to move. But the trick is to shoot once, and the instance it hits the ship, shoot again, before the other ships have time to move. Practice makes perfect

Now here's an advanced version of the above trick:
First, you make a normal move, like move to a square. Then, (it requires some practice) just as the enemy is making their move, you press spacebar, shooting.
It forces your ship to have an extra move, just before the other ships. And so the ships will move again. But at the same time the enemy ships move, the trick lets you move at the exact same time. So technically, you are one step ahead, and you can use this to your advantage.

Here's how to do it in steps:
    1. Hold your mouse on an empty space.
    2. Click on that empty space
    3. As your ship is moving, press spacebar. This will fire your ammo. The enemy ships will move.
    4. As you press spacebar, move your mouse on an empty space. That space will highlight, letting you move onto it by clicking on it at the same time the enemy ships are moving.
By following the steps correctly, you will essentially be moving at the same time as the ships, not waiting for the ships to move before you move. This has many advantages.

After step 4, try to move towards a vortex, which usually teleports you away from the enemy. Let the enemy come closer, destroying some of their ships, before repeating step 1-4.
From this image, you can see I just escaped some guys right on my tail, using the trick. The comet is right behind me.

If you aren't fast enough to move after step 3, the enemy will just have two moves, and you've basically wasted one. So you need to keep on moving. But after step 4, the game goes very fast, so be careful.
This will make the game much faster, and let you avoid the ships that are about to crash into you. It's all in a matter of timing. It's hard to explain without a demonstration though, i guess you're going to have to try it yourself.

With this trick, there are several things you can do:
When you have one move ahead, there will be lots of ships pursuing you in later stages. Usually I use the empulse cheat in a different way. I type in empuls on the first level, and as i'm performing steps 1-4, keep a finger over the e. That way, when i'm in later stages, and there is about 10 enemies chasing me, i press e, completing the cheat. This will leave an electromagnetic pulse on where i was, letting me get ahead and destroying the enemies behind me. Pressing spacebar will not ruin typing in empulse, and it carries over games, as long as you don't press e.

Next tip: If you are next to a gem, but you've just destroyed the last enemy in the last move, using the trick you can grab the gem before the next level starts.
When you grab the red gem using the last tip, if you press 'Continue' fast enough, the red gem will destroy enemies on the next level, albeit forfeiting one more turn.
If you get a purple gem, using the trick you basically can't lose that level.

The basic ships and the comets are easy to avoid using the trick, but red ships are hard to avoid. The way to avoid them is to move diagonally, instead of straight.
Oh yeah, for those wondering, my high score for this was 3275.

Hopefully it's not too complicated, pm me if you have any trouble.

Haha, i'll get around to it!

Edit: Hey guys, images are now up! Feel free to pm me for any questions.

If the guide is too complicated, or if it's too hard, I'm selling my abilities to get you a trophy for a negotiable price.
This is a legit way to get trophies.

Perfect example of what a good guide should look like. =)
