Ok, so today my boyfriend and I found a flat that we're going to take. I'm so excited . Wanted to share with you all . We both still live with our parents at the moment so it's a pretty big thing for us. We'll be moving in at the end of this month. It's a really lovely flat. Two bedrooms with a nice big bathroom and open plan lounge and kitchen area. Lots of space and a really nice area too. A little expensive, but we can cope. We're just renting at the moment, mostly to make sure we can live together without driving each other mad.. We'll perhaps look at getting a mortgage a bit later on when we're both earning more . Was just wondering (of the more mature members here) how old you were when you left home, where you went, whether you enjoyed it, etc, etc. And any advice for a new home leaver I know this won't be a hugely popular topic seeing as it won't concern many of you, but never mind *shrugs*
Wow xxx, that is really exciting, congratulations! I am getting married in December and will be moving in with my fiance then. We are hoping to rent a little house at first until we finish university then buy. We are hoping to get the house a couple of months before the wedding so we can get everything in before and just perfect for us to start a new life together. I am sure it will be a big adventure for you and your boyfriend moving out for the first time. It may be abit tough at first with money, driving each other mad etc but I am sure it will teach you alot and bring you alot of happiness. Good luck
Congrats xxx! Wow, that's a huge accomplishment! It sounds like a nice place, I hope that you guys love it there. As for me, I'll be moving out in about 2 years. I hope to maybe get a place in B.C (British Columbia). Anyways, just thought I'd congratulate you on your first home .
Congrats!!! I'm excited for you as I'm doing the complete opposite this week and moving back home so I can save money, lol. I first left to join the military though so it was a bit different. Sounds like a great place as well. My current apartment is...well not great, lol, so I'm jealous of you for getting such a nice place.
Congratulations. I'm going to have to save up for a long time in my current state if I want to have an apartment to stay in. Say... 50 years?
Thanks for the congrats everyone . I really am excited! Daydee - Congrats to you too! Sounds like you have things all planned out . We're not planning on getting married anytime soon for the plain and simple reason that we aren't able to afford it so I definitely hear what you're saying about things being tough for a while financially. Jfur - good luck with everything. That's our back up plan too - if things get too tough, we'll be trudging back home to get ourselves sorted out. It's weird.. Instead of getting excited looking at new clothes and the suchlike, I'm getting excited about sofas and curtains . I never thought I'd see the day..
You go girl [/girliness] Well congrats. My older brother moved out when he was like 21 (a little Irresponsible) He moved into a little one room, subapartment I would call it.
