Aww fishies! I reminds me of when I had mine, and we had quite an experience with it; One of our fish was fat for awhile and we realized she laid eggs, but there were no other baby fish. Then one morning I saw in the corner of the tank, THE TINIEST LITTLE FISHY YOU'D EVER SEE, just hatched and all, trying very hard to swim and survive {But looks like it's sturggling} so we scooped it up and put her in a little cup and she grew for a pretty long time until it died I really miss them now. I like your choice of color for the rocks too! Mine was blue/neon green with a bit of white but yeah, catchy colors. I REALLLYYY love Narf and Beau! Unique colors.
Lol they were mostly a random mix of the ones the people at the pet store wouldn't eat each other every person in my family picked one out - and then we got a few more. Ruff is mine, my brothers picked out Silver and Narf, Grandma picked out Beau (even though she'll hardly ever see him, she's not out at our house too often) Mom picked out Duke and Dad picked out BART and Daisy (he got Daisy because she'll /hopefully/ breed with Duke) most of the fish we wanted wouldn't play nice together... so this is what we got what I'm trying to say is that its not my sense of color as much as just random chance ^_^ and Narf and Beau are Painted Glassfish... there were other colors there too - orange, red and teal. I loved the teal ones
Oh my god I LOVE THEM! THEY ARE GORGEOUS! That's alot of fish for a 15 gallon though! Doesn't really matter anyways, tank size doesn't really affect fish unless they're really cramped. We have around 7 or 8 goldfish and another 7 or 8 angelfish, when they were babies they were ADORABLE! One of the goldfish laid eggs once; we moved her to another tank but I had a party and the next day she'd eaten all the eggs 'cause of the noise. ): My mom is obsessed with fish lol. We have a 55 gallon tank in our family room and a 110 gallon pond in the backyard patio -_-
Haha, as a child we used to have a 500 gallon reef tank built into our wall. It was amazing, but this one time I stuck my hand into it and a lionfish barb stuck right through my hand, poisonous too so that was an interesting trip to the hospital. I'd like to have an aquarium, but i'd probably just get a bunch of neon tetras. Maintaining something large is just a massive amount of day to day work Edit: You don't have the betta in the same tank as the other fish, do you? They are very territorial and will eat anything that bothers them
Virre - Aww... I feel bad for you I love fish ^_^ Phee - Thanks; they've got plenty of room, they're all little ^_^; I like angelfish too, but I didn't want to get something that big to put in with the bitty little guppies We've got an 85 gallon cheap-o walmart pre-fab pond that used to have a few fish in it... but then we got home from a week of camping and the water level was way down (part of the waterfall thing wasn't positioned properly so water leaked out) and my parent's got the bright idea to fill it up - the fish couldn't handle the shock. There goes a few 20 cent feeder fish -_- Aries - oh, that's a horrid experience with a fish -_- sounded like a cool tank, though; I liked all the neon tetras, but they looked so little -_- I didn't want that; and the betta is fine in the tank with the others, he's more annoyed with his reflection than anything else they had him in with other fish at the petstore too. Bettas tend to attack other bettas. ^_^
Oh, they are beautiful . Would love to have some pretty fishies, but I imagine my cats would destroy the fishy happiness... Just like they destroyed my lovely russian dwarf hamsters . Did I tell you about that? I was home on my own as James was away for the night, and I came home at about 2am to find their ravaged little bodies in the hall. I called my mom and she had to get my dad to drive over to my house to calm me down and get rid of them. I think the experience has damaged me. I started a new job about a week afterwards and we were in this 'team meeting' and they asked me to tell them about myself so that's the story I told them. I don't know if it was the best first impression ever, but it helped me to talk about it.
Cool. I have a huge tank in my house. Except my parents neglect the fact that all but one have died. O_O
