is there a benefit in raising fishing levels for the pet?

 

There is an avatar you can get when you catch Titanic Giant Squid. You have to be level 80+ to get it though. There are a few nice items that can be caught in the higher levels such as Flask of Rainbow Fountain Water, Irritable Genie-in-a-Bottle, and Mysterious Swirly Potion.

What level is that fountain thing around? Or is it random, and you just needa be a high level?

 

I think you need to be at least level 80 to get the fountain flask.
I don't remember where I saw that, but I do remember seeing it.

Where did you find that out? I'm just trying to figure out where I saw it before that made me think it was 80.

can someone make profit from fishing?

 

I look at fishing as just another statistic on neopets, but neopets is basically just a bunch of numbers anyway. Heh, as of now, my fishing level is 15.

 

besides, *some* people enjoy collecting fishing stuff on neopets, and buy whatever you catch...

there is ALSO a SMALL chance you can get a paintbrush (i think maraquan), there was ann editorial on that

I fish everyday to get mt level up. Once you get into the higher levels you can get some nice things. Last time I checked, the rainbow potion and swirly potion both sold for around 600-800k a piece.

it all depends. if you gain one level a day then it may take 80 days. Remember that you are not always guaranteed a level everytime you go there so it varies allot.

 

Ya i usually play neopets for about a month get bored of it then come back in a year and play some more. lol, i think im like a level 18 right now.

 

well my pet is exactly 100 days old today, and his fishing skill is 42. I also missed a few fishing trips here and there. sometimes I forget, or dont get on or whatever. Hope that helps you get an idea of how quickly a pet levels

 

It all depends if you do it everyday and if your pet increases in level.
I'm currently at 67.
And I have been doing it for a couple months.
I missed some days here and there. :3

But once you get above 90 or so, fishing will become worth it :'D
