Basically, I think we need a health/fitness forum.

ANYWAY. This is to track your fitness and keep you motivated. I have a hard time doing that myself if nothing really keeps me to it. I /just/ started running again yesterday, and I haven't been running since FEBRUARY. So now I want to keep doing this.

    (Old) Stats from February:
    Distance: 3.36km Time: 20.04

    Stats from October:
    Oct 31:
    Distance: 3.36km Time: 20.07
    Stats from November:
    Nov 1:
Distance: 3.36km Time: 20.13 (damn it)

When I start out, I will just be running the same distance, 3.36km to not start out too strong. And I REALLY want to improve this time, it sucks. Though it's pretty much the same as February, but I wasn't in a very good condition then either XD

What exactly are you trying to work on? 'Staying fit' with running is very general for your muscles - good for working on endurance.

If you actually wanted to get stronger or tone your muscles, isolating the muscle or muscle groups you want to develop is key. If toning, I like to use higher reps (lower weights) and vice versa for strength training.

For example, my workout for building stronger biceps:
    1. Drag Curls (mass building)
    2. Regular Curls (more mass)
    3. Concentration Curls (finishing off - working on the top of the muscle)

Only 3 exercises but it takes 30-45 minutes and builds muscle nicely.

But if you wanted to tone your muscles, I would do less of the mass building.
    • Concentration Curls
    • Regular Curls
    • Preacher Curls

    PS: Android > Crapple ;)

    I assume you're doing a split?

    Height / weight / bf?

    B/S/DL?

This is the main thing about it. If you actually wanted to get stronger or tone your muscles, isolating the muscle or muscle groups you want to develop is key. So it is very necessary.

I run everyday for at least 30minutes.. or at the gym. I usually have a set distance I want to accomplish like 3miles. Something realistic. I'm a pretty healthy guy but I need to stop smoking.

I go to classes at my gym, 4 times a week when school is in session, 6 times a week when it isn't. I can't stand running; which isn't really a surprise since I have asthma.

try swimming, great way to burn calories and imo more fun than running

  15. Many people are feel boring during in gym and don't do proper exercise which they want. First, make good friend who is going in gym and go with him. Avoid daily exercise because your muscles are need rest to prepare for next exercise. Continue change your exercise methods to create interest in gym.

to be productive in the gym, you need to go in there with a clear goal in mind, and give it 110%

Never do weight exercise extensively, it kills your bone mass although in exchange for some muscle but it all will come hitting you down when you get older.

I have used map my run before, but now I use micoach. You can pick a training program and it will coach you to go faster or slower to stay in pace zones. You can adjust the pace zones based on your effort level. If you want to get faster, this is the app you need to use.
