Is there any book i can refer to learn the language? I know nothing of it,except the phrases used in english...and there's no teacher i can turn to,because we didnt have foreign languages at school.
I have a set of CD's in the car that I use to learn French. They start off basic and get harder as you progress through the CD's. Their very useful and practical if you want to learn how to speak it, and are not as concerned about grammar or spelling etc. This is good for me because I want to learn how to speak it first so that I can talk French when I am there. And then I think the writing will come easier after I know the language. I can't remember the exact name of them (since their in the car) but when I bought them I got them from amazon, and there were quite a few options.
Ok, I just remembered, here is a great site my best friend gave me. It helps a lot at learning languages! http://www.ielanguages.com

when I was at school I learned french using a book called "Café Creme" (it's all in french...but not that difficult and as you said that you know nothing of it, you should start with the book 1)...I've learned the language almost by myself, cause I didn’t used to pay too much attention in the classes hehe. it comes with a cahier D´exercices (exercises book) was really useful for me ^^ Anyways I still think you should go for a basic french course, or something like this, first...
A french class would be best because then you would actually speak it and learn much faster that way... Edit: Please do not gravedig -chelsea -topic locked-
