hi i have a question about the laptop video cards

i was custom building my laptop, and i noticed the prices of the video cards. some of the older 512 mb video card models were cheaper than the newer 256 mb models. which one would be better peformance-wise?

    thanks for any help :)

Post me up a link for the specs of each graphics card. I'm pretty knowledgeable when it comes to PC hardware.

    Let me know.

Okay, well what are you using this computer for? Graphics, gaming or what? Dual cards are generally more expensive, but if you just want something a little cheaper that will get by I would go with a single card.

Check up on system requirements for gaming or whatever you want your laptop for, then base the specs a little bit higher. That's what I did for myself, but I want an upgrade on my video card pretty quick here, I'm going to get into some more advanced visual programs.

Anyways, if you want to talk to me more about your Laptop, just drop me a PM.

I recommed an ATI or nVidia graphics cards. I use nVidia Geforce (its a 512 MB one), and I've used ATI too. Theyre both awesome.
