Anyone know some good animation programs that they have used, or at least know someone who has used them?

    Doesn't have to be free.

    Thanks.

If you're looking to animate stick figures, Pivot Stickfigure Animator is good.

As for any other animation, Flash CS3/4 is awesome :)

SwishMax is an easy to use animation program. Much easier than Flash.

Most animes and cartoons are made frame by frame. If you're talking about movie animations, the programs used are made by the company itself, not released to the public.(EG. Pixel uses its own program to enable them to understand and edit the program when necessary).
