I'm actually planning to put out a couple of songs, but I'm pretty clueless when it comes to music software. It's going to be rap so looking for something that I can produce some beats with. Any help would be amazing. <3

ACID pro was my choice of music editing software when I was recording/editing anything... but i moved away from that side and got back into programming again =P

its got some really good features, relatively easy to use..
should definitely check it out =)

try Cakewalk SONAR software or Sibelius lots out there just depends on how you like working most people tend to use more then one application to make music, editing and mastering.

check this guy making a Prodigy song

If youre trying to make some beats to go with the rap i would say you have to get fl studio (fl stands for fruity loops but don't let the name fool you). it can be a little confusing at first but once you get the hang of it it is probably one of the best programs out there.
