Altador Cup IV: did you say investment? The Altador Cup, or AC for short, has the ability to both occupy your time over summer break and provide a great opportunity for investment. The AC is set up like a tournament for teams of certain places in Neopia. Here is a link for team listing: LINKLINKLINK. Every day from June 2 to June 21(?), each team will be set against one other team in a tournament-style match where players from each team tries to score more points (duh). The Games: did you say fun? Each day, your team will face a new team. If you're looking to win, try playing about 50+ games of Yooyuball ball a day, as well as a few games of Slushie Slinger, Make Some Noise, and the new Shootout Showdown. The games can be found here: LINKLINKLINK As for winning and losing each match, TNT has set it up so that the games are scored individually. Team A could win Yooyuball and Shootout Shutdown, while team 3 could win Slushie Slinger and Make Some Noise. So now I should explain each game, right? Yooyuball: did you say fútbol? This game has to be my favorite. It follows a layout similar to soccer, but has a twist - the yooyuball. There are certain characteristics that each ball will have. I'll let sunnyneo explain. LINKLINKLINK By winning, you score yourself points that goes towards your points you will be able to collect at the end of the tournament, but each individual point earned OVER your opponent's score is what your team earns. So this means if you score 7 points, but your opponent scores 6, your team only earns 1 point. Tip: honestly, the best tip is just to practice. learn what works best for you. I like to to play from left to right and use the 3+1 formation to get to the ball quicker and you have backup if you lose the ball. (way better)Tip: Press space bar to skip goal celebrations (you can also skip the yooyuball intro, but I don't suggest this. Whenever I do this, for some reason it catches me off guard and I end up missing the ball). Slushie Slinger: did you say women's rights? This game is fairly simple. Whenever a customer come in with an order (in their thought bubble), you fill a drink that matches the color of their order. As you progress through the game, people order more often. To make a customer's slushie, navigate using the up and down keys, and when you've gotten to the slushie machine matching your customer's order, press the right arrow key, then space to fill the cup with slushie, then go back to whatever counter your customer is sitting at, and press left and space to send their slushie to them. They'll send them back down the counter and you have to catch them before they fall off the end (be sure you're facing the right way, and by 'right way', i mean left). You have five lives and if you don't serve a customer, send a slush down with no customer, or drop a cup, you lose a life. Tip: If you're reallllly busy, you can just send a customer the wrong slushie. you won't get as many points, but that beats losing a life. Make Some Noise: did you say STFU? Make Some Noise is one of the easier games, but to me, isn't worth the points you earn towards the prize shop. It's set up a lot like 200m Peanut Dash, where you tap two keys as fast as you can to try and get the meter in the red within a thirty second time limit. The longer your meter is in the red, the higher your score. Tip: watch out for 'Bonus letters'! Shootout Showdown: did you say money-shot? This game is simple. Really simple. You have a power gauge in the bottom left corner. Hold space bar, and let go when you're ready to release the ball. It's about timing your kick so you can get the ball behind the goalie. Tip: if your power gauge is full, you earn more points. PRRRRRIZES: did you say Walmart? PRIZEPRIZEPRIZE Those are the prizes from last year, thanks to sunnyneo. Prizes have to be my favorite part of the AC. From all the points you earn from playing each game of the AC, you get to buy AC related prizes. If you're not into playing plots, I suggest you hang onto a bit of NP and buy up other people's prizes. These are great investment items. Tip: Have a goal every day for how many matches you want to win. My daily is 100 YB matches, and 25 of each other game. This is my first guide, and I'd love any suggestions and constructive criticism. I hope this can help you get a few more points towards the prize shop. Anything you think I should improve on?
Thanks. It took about two hours. I need to make some improvements, but I have no time this week. x-x I've worked every day. EDIT... I think people's favorite part of this guide are the subtitles. Should I just delete all the info and make more subtitles?
