IntroWelcome to this guide, how to create a hidden xp account! This is just one part of a master guide I will be finishing and releasing soon...that guide will have 5-7 chapters but this is just one - I also plan to publish another part too on how to hide files within images. For this guide, you will need windows xp and a bit of computer literacy. I also have a small part on backing your comp up in case you mess up. Backing up your computer Since we will be messing around with the registry, it is rather important to create a restore point - however, this is optional so you can skip over this if you'd like. However, I'd recommend creating one anyways - even if not for this guide but for later purpose. I don't go into much depth describing this because Windows gives a good description about the system restore. Opening System Restore To open up your system restore, simply go to Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - System Restore, system restore should be the bottom option under system tools. Creating a System Restore Point Now that you have successfully opened up the System Restore, check the box that says "Create a restore point". Once you have done that, click next. You will now be asked for a Restore point description. You can put anything here, really...I'll put the date and before making secret files. The date and time are automatically entered, but I'm going to put the date anyways because I'm a rebel. Now you should have successfully created a system restore point and we can move on. Hidden Account Now we will create a hidden XP account, nifty eh? Just 1 part of hiding your top-secret confidential files aka porn. Create a New Account Firstly, you need to create a new account. This is done regularly and is nothing special. Simply click Start - Control Panel - User Accounts. Then select "Create a new account". You will then be prompted to give the new account a name...I will name it "Cackle" and then click next. I believe you need to use no spaces in the account name for this; however, I may be wrong. You will then be prompted to select the account type...select "Computer administrator" and then click the button "Create Account". Hiding the Account Now, we will go in the registry and hide the account - this is mainly why we created a restore point. It's crucial to pay attention during this....which brings me to my disclaimer: IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO FOLLOW THIS PART OF THE GUIDE STEP FOR STEP. I WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE IF YOUR COMPUTER BECOMES UNRESPONSIVE OR UNUSABLE BECAUSE OF THIS GUIDE. I WILL NOT BE HELD REPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE OR MISTAKES IF ATTEMPTING THIS GUIDE. THIS GUIDE IS FOR DEMONSTRATION PURPOSES ONLY AND SHOULD NOT BE ATTEMPTED. Firstly head on over to your registry editor. This can be done by going to Start - Run and typing regedit, as shown below. Now while in your registry, you need to go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE - SOFTWARE - Microsoft - Windows NT - CurrentVersion - Winlogon - SpecialAccounts - UserList. Now you need to right click in the white space and select New - DWORD Value. You need to name it the exact same as your account - in my case "Cackle". Now right click on your username(in my case Cackle)'s entry and select "Modify". A box should then come up - be sure to make the value "0" for hidden and "1" for visible. You have now successfully hidden your windows XP account! Be sure to stay tuned for future parts of this guide.
Umm, I can't seem to see any of the pictures you put on there. All I see is "Image"... Maybe it's part of your fixing the guide, but I was just wondering
