Hello Everybody Just wondering IF you Have Hackintosh Post Your VERSIONI.E, 10.5.8) YOUR PC MODEL: ( i.e, Dell Inspiron 1750 MANUFACTURER: (I.e, IATKOS Kalyway etc) ___________________________________________--- VERSION: 10.5.8 PC MODEL: Dell Inspiron 1750 MANUFACTURER: Kalyway
Mac OSX on a PC I once had Kalyway 10.5.2 but my ATI card wasn't supported. I than switched for a 10.5.5 release (can't remember the name) updated to 10.5.6. They finally released drivers for my 4850 so everything was working (QE, multi monitor) I tried installing IPC recently since I lost my disk for the 10.5.5 release but it's just not working on my PC. I'll take a look at the 10.5.8 release.
Cool MY Graphics card GMA x4500 Isnt supported But really its no problem I have my windows 7 on another partition BTW dont put anything on your mac Before Combo Updating the Mac and back up all your Kexts (if you put them on it) With OSx86TOols The Ideneb 10.5.8 Combo update Worked for me
Is hackintosh like VMWare, a virtual machine? Because I have VMware but windows '98 instead of apple.
Nothing's virtual. It install like windows, much like any OS. No need to have windows installed anymore
How difficult would you say this is to do? My sister has a PC laptop and wants to me to hackintosh it but I'm not an expert at computer stuff. I'm pretty knowledgable and I can work from a guide pretty easily, but if it requires a ton of command line/hardware manipulation I'm not sure I could pull it off. Also, are there any guides you recommend or did you just sort of google a lot of resources?
Personnaly, I got all the informations from there: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/ They also have a wiki with all compatible hardware.
why would you want to hackintosh it? wouldn't it be easier to just run linux if you don't like windows?
Just for the fun of doing something different, working/solving problems while learning new things ?!?!
