To clear things up, are you allowed to bring medicine and laptop batteries? I don't know if they consider it an explosive or w/e since you can remove the battery from the device. Also, I want to bring a small jar of Tylenol or Moltrin just incase a bad headache comes. That's allowed right?
You should be allowed to take a laptop, yes, but for large durations of the flight they won't allow you to use any electronics in case they interfere with the plane's systems - like cellphones in a hospital. As for the medicine, it varies from airline to airline, but most don't allow it unless it's something critical like insulin for a diabetic - and even then you'd have to show proof of prescription. However, they will supply you with painkillers if you ask a flight attendant. The reason for this is they don't want people ODing on their planes, but if they supply you with the pills themselves, they can moderate the dosage.
They usually don't like to supply people under 18 with any pain killers. Which is why I wanted to bring mine. There's a few months till i'm 18 so i'm still a "minor".
actually it's mostly during take off and landing that they ask you to turn off electronics during the rest of the time you're fine but no wireless stuff
Unfortunately if you're a minor, your chances of using painkillers on board an aircraft are slim to none unless your parents will be there to give permission for you to take them. If you can find a doctor to prescribe you something for a recurring migraine, then you should be fine. Otherwise, all you can do is try to take some aboard and hope for the best. Don't try to hide them mind you, carry them in plain sight and just ask if it's okay to take them. The worst they can do is say no and make you leave them behind. There are other occasions when electronics are not allowed and must be switched off, during turbulence, dense fog, unexpected weather changes, etc. But yes, if those things aren't encountered it's just take off and landing and for 10-20 minutes after/before.
^ Haha oh no I have my ipod all ready and stuff! Guna charge everything the night before D: Oh and also, on this site they didn't say no to any medicine, so I wanted to ask. http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/ ... items.shtm Pando - Even if you wanted to use wireless, you can't XD No internet detected!! Guna play emulator..or something haha. It can be like..a portable DVD player...from a laptop :yup:
No worries, I'll just lose a little sleep and download them now I guess. You pumped for the 13.5 hours of air time?
No Who knows what kinda freaks I am sitting beside. Also, I am scared someone beside me will puke. I hate puking people. I can't stand the smell, I can't stand looking, I just hate it x_x I'm always travelling alone so it'll get lonely. My uncle is on the same plane, but in a different seat. Isn't that stupid?? Anyways, I found this about medicines:
I don't like sitting next to people I know. They expect you to talk to them the whole plane ride and I'm like "nuuuuuu *ipod*"
I actually never thought about that!! Then i'd feel bad for wanting to listen to music cuz then it'll just look like you don't wanna talk to them D:
Lol, the best would be to close your eyes and plug in your iPod and make them think you want a rest Don't have to feel bad anymore!
Yeah, but most of the time, for me, I really don't want to talk to them. D: I'm not an anti social person, I just don't want to have an eight hour conversation with my mom. My mom is one of those shoulder-tappers. Every time I try and slip a headphone in, she goes TAPTAPTAP "Look at that guy!" or "Ohhh, read this article *about gardening...*"
