is in one day, two hours, and forty-six minutes. Just a heads up. Most [strike]every[/strike]thing(s) in shops will be profitable, but also there are [strike]about twice as many people[/strike] less people trying to RS. good luck everyone. sorry about that, Hallandale. Edit: one day, two hours, and forty-six minutes = July 3rd (Friday).
No problemo. I got all excited because I thought it was tomorrow. My computer said "July 2", but I forgot it's 12:27 here, so the day has already changed. Yeah, I'm RS banned right now too. :|
I never tried to restock in half price day because im persuaded i'll never get anything since everyone is restocking
Ermm... I think a couple things you've said streeeeeeetch the truth a bit. First of all, I wouldn't say that most everything in shops will be profittable. Sure, you'll get slightly more profit for your restocks, but relying on the fact that it's HPD to make profit isn't a great strategy. Second, there WON'T be twice as many people restocking. If anything, there will be less. I've never ever had trouble rsing on half price day. Restockers restock all the time. In fact, I think some people STOP restocking on HPD, because they're not used to the haggles. Normally a haggle of 9898 would buy you a Holographic Coltzans Shrine, for example, on HPD, you have to haggle 5050 or 4949, something you're not used to as much. Think about it this way. The stamp you'd usually restock for 10k and sell for 300k and make 290k profit on would make you 295k profit. The actual prices you're paying in shops are so negligible to not really make a difference either way.
You're bound to get something. Half Price Day seems a bit overrated. I make a good amount of NP legit on HPD. Just refresh in a lot of shops and AdBlock anything that isn't profitable. AdBlock isn't detectable and it makes spotting profitable items a lot easier. Edit: I didn't mean everything, my bad. That was bad wording. As for less people trying to RS, I wouldn't have thought about it like that, mostly because I use an auto haggler. Good point. As for the minimal profit difference, I normally buy A LOT of smaller items that only give you a few hundred NP profit and a few ~50k items. It's more work rather than only going to the bigger ~100k stamps, but it seems to work better for me.
I think these points really depend on where you plan on restocking. If you're a beginner and do books or food, then there will be more people restocking, and the half price does make things easier. As Hallandale said, if you're doing stamps or magic, it doesn't really matter that it's half price in terms of the profit you make. Buuuuuuuut you're forgetting how much principle (starting NP) you need. This means if you have a bunch shell accounts AB'ing, you don't need to supply them with as much starting money, so you can be a bit more audacious with them (there are several UB's new accounts can see, by the way).
I've always felt that there were a lot more people RSing on Half-Price Day. That's really when all the newblets start coming out and jam-packing the shops full of RSers. Sure, they may be bad at RSing, but they make up for it in their numbers. More people RSing = more likelyhood that someone will get the RS on the second.
I was under the same impression, but Hallandale says otherwise... :| I dunno. I'll still RS that day either way. xD
I end up missing HPD ALL the time though I know its tomorrow watch and see something will come up and it will totally slip my mind XD. Though I did mange before I think once to restock legit one time and I must say made some good profit and I suck at restocking.
