    Sorry to hear that!
I have never been hacked though.

TNT doesn't really pay much attention to hacked accounts unless they are big, well known accounts

This is really just a petpeeve of mine, but, you mean, you got scammed, cracked, or CG'ed. To be hacked requires someone to break into Neopets database itself, at which point, they have access to virtually any account, but for some reason, they chose you. /end rant

How did you learn that your account was compromised? (This plays a big part in how fast, if at all, your account will be unfrozen.) If you froze your account yourself, it's easy to get it back. If TNT froze it for your protection (which they will tell you), they will unfreeze you whenever they get around to your support ticket (which, in my experience, is anywhere from 1 week-2 months). If they froze it because they suspected you of wrong-doing (i.e. cheating, but then got compromised), you might never get it back.

And you can almost be certain that your items won't be returned. Pets... well, if you're premium, and if they are Draiks. Your best bet might just be to contact the new owners of the pets and explain what happened. They aren't obligated to return your pets to you, but there's a slight chance they might.

you sure you can get it back?

Sure. But you have to send in a request to self-freeze your own account. If TNT freezes you, it doesn't count as "self-freeze." If you don't request to self-freeze your account, it will stay "active" regardless of how long ago you last logged in... Until TNT decides to purge their database, that is.

If you can prove the account originally belonged to you, and if you did not cheat on that account, you can most likely get it back.

I've been around a long time...

Only half of that was lost legitimately.. the rest was since I started cheating.. the first lot was the reason i started cheating :p

is it possible to go in red hot and AB, then self-freeze to stop the trail?

Yes. Essentially, it requires you to AB, stop, then send your items on to another account, where it stays for a week or so to "cool off." It's still slightly risky, because even if you send the items off and then self-freeze, TNT can still get suspicious, and if they feel like it, they can use the object ID to track where the items are and freeze that particular resting place. But it really depends on how annoyed/busy TNT is feeling that day.

Personally, I like to stay low on the radar. I don't make a lot of profit per account, but with enough shells, it's still a decent income, and none of my shells are frozen so far. *cross fingers*

Edited @ 11:30PM: Apparently, I jinxed it and got myself frozen lol. But it wasn't due to ABing, so I still stand by my theory

If your account is old enough, you can transfer them somewhere else. Or quickly pound & adopt.

If you get frozen, you'd lose your pets anyway, so in this manner, at least self-freeze allows you to prepare.

Never been "hacked". Only lose my accounts through freezing.
I don't understand how people get scammed/hacked/etc. Mind you, I trust no one, so I guess it makes it a little harder to do these bad things to me. Some people are too trustworthy.

To self-freeze, pick "Remove Account." It should only take a day or two.

To undo a self-frozen account, well, it's going to take however long TNT feels like it.
