Hello, I just signed up here, stumbled upon it whilst searching neopets on google.
I play some other games, but Neopets is my most favourite and this looks like.. an interesting place!

I'm from the United Kingdom, and probably too old to be playing lol. I'm a University student, and as you've probably guessed that my name is Lisa *pokes stats to the side*

Hopefully you'll see me around the boards and get to know me a bit more.

No one's too old to be here!
Im 17, we have members who are over 40
the average age was 15 about 12months ago, so the average age will be about 16 now on the forum.

What uni and course are you studying if you don't mind me asking?

    Hi SoC,

Well that's okay then, I'm only 18. I've come across a lot of older people on neopets but the majority seem to be about 14-16.
Still, I suppose not many young young kids think of signing up to forums.

I'm studying an undergraduate Law degree at Liverpool University, but I'm originally from Wales - hopefully graduate and go into being a Solicitor back home. It's so great here though, I love it. :) Are you thinking of going to University then?
I just noticed you're in Manchester, not far away.

ewww liverpool, don't say your a scouser? :p

I don't want to go uni but i don't have a choice with the current economic climate

So i shall be studying maths at manchester uni, which is full of geeks, posh london idiots and i hate the place already and i've only been once :(

Least it's close to home so i can cycle there xD Thats the only good point.

    You enjoying uni?

    NADA, I'm not a Scouser!

... or is that worse? xD

It was the closest and what I call "real" University from my home because I work in my families business at the weekend.
    It's lots of commuting.

I considered Manchester University but then they started inundating me with letters to join, and I'd have had to go for an interview etc. I was too shy. xD

Still, I'm lovvvving uni life here in Liverpool ;)
It's really great. Are you staying at home or in Halls? I don't know what it'd be like travelling from home but I guess you'll have friends going there too? Living in halls is awesome espec. getting to know everybody else studying there and parties.

They run a holiday company family business - got a few properties in Cyprus, Greece, Spain. Looking at Italy right now but with the economy not too sure - I want them to though, and then hopefully I can go on my hols in the summer. xD

They also run two fast-foods in different towns. xD Not too glamourous, but it's still a bit of extra cash for me.
In Flintshire. It's right by the border. Still, I count myself as Welsh. =]

Damn, 3 mile cycle?! That sure will keep you fit, I can't even be bothered walking a mile to the shops some days, haha. xD It's my resolution this year though to do a little more excersise.

You really think Liverpool's that bad? I heard loadss of bad things about it, and my mum was worried about my going there too - but I like it so far. Though, I haven't really been into the suburbs like Croxteth and stuff so I don't know. I just stay in the city center.

I bet you get lots of cool holidays then :D
And yeh it'll keep me fit, I do 2mile to college now, and about 4-5 to friends houses throughout the week.
Get walking to the shop lazy!

I shall be cycling to liverpool soon, for charity.
70mile cycling for christies cancer hospital :)

And yeh theres a big rivarly between mancs and scousers, all dating back to the 1800's etc
lots of history and major hatred between the two cities, and then ofcourse the football :D

    Hey Lisa!
I'm 18, so don't feel bad about being old XD I've been stuck on Neopets since 4th grade. So like... 8 years. I feel so pathetic, haha.

Well then, I wouldn't exactly call Flint nice, not with the tower blocks and all. But that's where I used to go to Primary xD After school sometimes my mates mum would drop us off to play at the castle and green - so good memories. :)

Haha, I used to get good holidays, practically living in Cyprus but I haven't been away for ages now, cos after you hit 16 it just feels like a constant run of exams. Blah. I want to go this summer but I've got to sort out my passport + possible interview. Scary :(

Good luck with your cycling, it sounds like fun. That sorta stuff I don't mind, I just haven't done so since September now with being in University - but I know I should. My BF used to get us to ride to Chester on Sundays with my two dogs.

I think it's time they settled the differences. XD I went to a concert recently, the Raconteurs played for some of it - made many references to the rivalry.

Thanks for the welcome Sunfever. :) That's not pathetic - I must be too. Around 7/8 years. I know my current account is 6 and a half years and I had an aged one before that too O.O I got my first computer at 10 years old. XD
