This is all I have so far.... anything I missed? Come on, I want to finish this. Help! 1. Laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaag 2. You shut down your browser because you can't stand the lag anymore - and your computer's still lagging 3. "Oops. The game ended abnormally..." 4. The people who play the key grabber on you instead of the other guy who's about to win. 5. The people who don't play their power-ups at all. Even when they really, REALLY need to. 6. The people who quit when you're beating them. 7. The people who quit when they roll a 1 on their first turn. 8. The people who quit when they roll last place in the waiting area.
9. Only cheesy, laggy, hard to find preset chat phrases. 10. You never seem to get that epic gold key (For that paintbrush) due to 1337 players with amazing internet connections. (I dunno w/e)
I've never noticed this lag at all, no less when I shut down the internet. Are you sure something in your internet settings isn't screwed up and causing a lag? I used to get kq problems when I hadn't cleared my cache in a while, and I'm sure there's other things that can affect it.
I use opera, and i can't seem to start the game (The buttons are unpressable) :/ & LAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG ;D
I do have a Poweredge Server with no graphics card, so I understand the lag to a certain extent. Still, my puter's settings are optimized and my connection is great - I d/l multiple files with Vuze at around 1.2 mb/sec (total) and have no problems with any other webpages. I even have adblock plus maximized to take out all useless BS that might slow me down. I'd like to think it would offset the graphics issue some, but it doesn't. That being said, a quick google search shows that I'm far from being the only person to experience insane lag when playing keyquest.... I wonder if more people share your experience or mine when playing??
This may not be a reason why not to play, but I got three Bottled Quicksands played on me in a row... I just sat there watching the other players run circles around me... Put me off the game for a while -.- hehe
laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaag covers every single reason but winning the game to find the lag got them there 1st!
Why are people posting so many problems that are not associated with 5 key 2 player matches? LEARN TO PLAY THE GAME! ALWAYS PLAY 5 KEY 2 PLAYER MATCHES! I mean, come on people, it's not a difficult concept. But yes, lag is the only reason I hate it (which is why I only play it at my work computer )
To Ice Nine: XD The time I got triple quicksanded was the only time I ever played a game with more than two people. I think its safe to say I'm not gonna be doing that again anytime soon.
My main reason ... people setting up games with their friends that you join unknowingly, then they gang up on you to make sure one of them wins (probably predetermined through neomail). I've had situations where people blatently 'help' the other players and hobble me - then you catch them chatting on the boards to each other !
i hate when you dont use your power ups on people to play a fair game, but they end up using theirs on you right as youre about to win. that shit enrages me. lol
The only way I play is 2 player and Five Key matches... it seems pointless to not, unless you are in it for fun i guess... i play for the keys and prizes as i am sure most other do as well. And ironically enough, i play the game at work as well with this nice T1 line they just installed! XD, its the only way to go baby!
And I quote (myself): 6. The people who quit when you're beating them. 7. The people who quit when they roll a 1 on their first turn. 8. The people who quit when they roll last place in the waiting area. ...these are the reasons I NEVER start or join a 5 key/2 player game. I tried more than a few times but only once did the other player see it out to the end when they were clearly about to lose. I can't have retards wasting my time like that. Instead I start 5 key/3 player games. More than half the time it ends with only two of us still playing but that's fine with me. The quitters weed themselves out and I'm usually left with someone who wants to play right.
That actually is a really good idea... I have never thought of that before and i am sure that now everyone who sees this will only do the 5key/3 player games... which makes 5 key/ 2 player games completely pointless now because they will be full of quitters... ha ha they can quit on themselves now! Losers! Thanks for the advice!
I have never had problems with 7 or 8, but number 6 is frustrating...it's not worht it to me to play 3 player games though, seeing as each game takes under 10 min anyways...not a big time loss, plus it doesn't happen all THAT often, you just notice it more because it's really annoying...
It is really incompatable with older computer models. My computer has everything that it needs to play the game and yet I can't play it.
