I'm drawing it for my friend, can some artists help me out? I want to make it look better, what do you suggest and what advice would you give? All I did was sketch it on paper and then put it on paint.NET, outlined it, and filled in the colors...

I don't know if i want it cuter, or creepier...

    EDIT:
I added thicker lines, any better?

Thanks, I'll try out your suggestions and see how they look, :D

I usually don't do a very good job shading, though, any advice?

All I can recommend is putting dimensions to it (i.e. shadows). Possibly even a background, but white works fine. Cute work. :)

Okay, I'm trying, haha. It actually doesn't have a white background, there is no background, it'll just show whatever's behind it.

What do you guys use to shade? In the past I've just drawn where I want the shading and colored it a different color, is there a better way?

Yes, I agree with the rest.
Add depth to the image by adding gradients to make it appear to have depth.
Also, use realistic lighting effects (shadow/glare), and a background to make it spring to life!

Okay, I tried shading it, tell me what you think. Is it better like this or was it better before? Is it okay with a few problems? If so, point them out so I can change it, please and thank you.

Overall, I like it a lot. Totally a technicality and I feel bad for not having a more solid/real thing to fix, but it seems a bit tilted to the left too far. I'm not sure if it's intended to be that way, so if it is, don't take my preference for you having done anything wrong! ><

On the other hand, it's cute with the right amount of creepy. Maybe darken the green around the eyes/the paw a tad if you want it even creepier.

Edit; I'm clearly not an artist >> I, in fact, fail at drawing. I just like cute stuff =D

Haha, thanks. When I was drawing drafts i kinda wanted something at an odd angle, but i guess I kinda scrapped that, but not 100%, thus the tilt.

I considered darkening it, but I decided it has enough creepy, seeing as it's a request and the person even told me "As long as it doesn't have red eyes.", oops... It was just suppose to be a cute buny with a bow tie, but that was too boring...

Great job on the shading! The only other thing that I could think of that would make it look better is the scenery/background. But if you're printing it, then I suggest you just leave it as is.

    Again, nicely done! :)

With the shading it looks alot better.
Now try more detailed shading, more use of colors and a background with depth.

Eh, I drew it on paper first, then I used paint.NET for everything else. I think i'm done with it, I already spent too much time on it, haha, and I have other things I want to draw. I'd do a background, but I only like drawing living things,

i think the lines need to be smoother personally, but that might just be a problem with the program you are using. there are also some places where it comes to a point like the side of the ear, the top of the leg and the bottom right part of the tail. other than that it looks pretty good

Good job overall, but you should definetly add some shding, and also a simple background might help. It's good though:)

Like many people said.. U should use shadows. Maybe trying to add a really low fur texture =D
But, try shadows and highlights and u will see the big difference +D
