I configured my browser with an proxy. I can surf, go to neopets.com but I cannot login I get the following message:

"You are trying to use a node of the CoDeeN CDN Network. Your IP address is not recognized as a valid PlanetLab address, so your access to CoDeeN does not include all HTTP types"

Here, try this program. Its an Asian program (I think), anyway you run it and use internet explorer, it doesn't work with any other browsers. Basically sets you up with proxies that work, if they don't it finds a new one. Enjoy.

Would proxies prevent you from being frozen?

Proxies will probably increase your chances of getting iced.

But it would also drastically decrease your chances of being chain-iced

Yes, but if you make an account on your IP and use it from a proxy you have more of a chance of getting iced than having made the account only via a proxy and using it only from that proxy. because the second you use that account on more than 3 proxies its almost guaranteed that you get on their bad list.
