I just tried redownlaoding tor after i went through and pretty much wiped my computer clean of everything to clear some room up and now when i try and load vidalia it shows the GUI for about 3 seconds then the window just goes blank... like there's just a giant white rectangle there and when i hover over the yellow onion it says that it's starting tor but it just sits there and stops working... i can't figure out what's wrong and i was wondering if anybody else could figure it out :) thanks in advance :)

it's a program that helps you find active proxies and is really useful if you want to use multiple accounts to do things :)

i've tried that already and there's not much more info to give... i try to start vidalia and it shows the normal screen then goes blank and stops functioning and takes up 99% of my cpu... that's about all there is to it...

well i really can't help you much with so little info, you can look for any logs (i.e. debug log, error log) and copy + paste them for us

otherwise all i can say is completely uninstall every everything related to TOR - run uninstallers, restart, search folders for leftovers etc. and start afresh, if you didn't uninstall properly and then re-installed the problem may still remain from the previous installation

i can't access any logs because about 3 seconds after vidalia opens it crashes and i can't access anything even if i try right clicking on the onion in the icon tray, and my brother reformatted my hard drive to clear up any crap that was on it so i'm pretty sure every file associated with tor was deleted...
