I thought that this may be an interesting topic to discuss, it is not really a common one. So, reenacting. You know what I am talking about, men and women dressing up in costume and going out and recreating historical battles, villages, camp life, that sort of thing!

I myself am going to become a reenactor of the American Revolutionary War. On the side of the British, fighting for King and Country. I already know which unit I am going to be joining, and I am going to see a reenactment next week to make my final decision. After all, it is a really big investment of time and money to get into this hobby, especially for a student.

Does anyone here have any experiences with reenacting? Know a reenactor? Ever seen an event, large or small? What did you think?

((I know this is my second thread in like, two days, but I am a bit desperate for some proper conversation to get my post count up. Not just a single post of my opinion in the Debate-it thread!))

I live in Georgia so there is a good bit of revolutionary war reenacting here. I have never been part of them though.
