How do I tell my aunt I don't want to make a music video for her band? The song is hella boring to me and I don't think I could sit through hours of grueling work making a music video for it. I'm also going through an art block and just don't feel like drawing or animating. Also I only have like 2 weeks of summer left so I don't want to waste my time on that crap. So what's a polite way to say no? Should I use a lame excuse or something? My uncle works for my dad so I don't want things to get awkward between them if she gets angry that I don't do it.
Tell her that you're swamped with other things that you have already made commitments to do and that you can't say for sure when your schedule will clear up. Postpone it until she forgets about it or asks someone else
You could just tell her exactly what you've posted here, only leave out the parts about her music sucking. I think you have valid reasons, and there's no reason to make things up or avoid it. What if she's an elephant, remembers forever, develops this unhealthy resentment towards you, and kills you? Just sayin.
In secondary upper school I got great grades for some classes where I had up to 75% absence and without having done any of the required tests.
