I have honestly been IP banned for about 3 months now. I really hope it doesn't last long/forever. The reason is because I'm currently coding a kad feeder and it's really hard to code something for a website that you cant even visit! So, how long will this last! I hope I get off the ban list soon. Thanks!

I think IP bans are/can be permanent? It's only used as a last resort usually, so only way is to change your IP or use proxies.

Well then... I tried changing my IP but sadly we own a wireless router therefore it's hard to get a new IP. Well thank's, I thought that the banning wouldn't be permernant.

What ISP do you have? Most issue dynamic IP's so your IP will change on its own every 3-4 days.

I can usually just shut my router off and come back an hour later and I will have a new IP address. I'd suggest trying that, then try calling your ISP and ask them to change your IP.

Just unplug your router for 5-10minutes, if that doesnt work, leave it unplugged while everybosys asleep at night, then when you plug it back up that should do the trick :)

Most ISP use a dynamic IP address for customers, if so, it should change eventually as someone else mentioned in this thread. You can also log into your router & release the IP that way. Other than that, probably have to use a proxy.

It is possible you have a static IP addy. I'd consult my ISP. If it is indeed static, that can be changed. Probably can't be on a whim if it's dynamic. Just pretend you can't browse & they might could block the old IP for you & reserve a new one. :)

I work for a broadband company & we do that all day long. If you need any additional info, feel free to PM me. If you're in the US, my company might even support your ISP! We do about 100+ companies. Good luck! ^^

routers are impossible to change ip, they have permanent ip from my experience. only the actual modem box or cable box can change ip if u unplug/reset.

a few years ago when i used to ab like crazy i would get ip banned sometimes. i was ip banned twice back then and they both lasted 3-5 months. keep checking every couple weeks, hopefully its over soon :(

You have a 99.999% chance of having a dynamic IP. Why? Because you almost always have to pay an extra premium to get a static IP, which I don't think most people want to do.

Routers have nothing to do with having a dynamic IP. A router simply allows you to connect multiple computers to a network, and provides an intermediary security precaution along the way.

Wireless has nothing to do with dynamic IPs either. The only difference between wired and wireless networks is that wireless doesn't require wires. :p

Just turn off your router before you go to bed one day, and turn it back on in the morning and you'll probably have a new IP.
