I was going through my old things recently, and found my old Sega Gamegear. For it's time, this thing was the MACK DADDY of all portable consoles. Full back lit color screen with some pretty sweet graphics, way better than the Gameboy Pocket which I think was Nintendos handheld at the time. Power Rangers is such a sick game :)

Sonic Dominated. I could spend hours... well, 30 minutes, because thats how long my battery lasted, playing sonic in various positions around my room. It's so much better than playing sonic on the television. I hate that feeling of confinement. Luckily, I have the constitutional right to play gamegear where ever I would like to in my room! Hurrah!

I played Sonice on Sega Genesis. So much better than playing on that bulky game gear.

I love how we can just download the emulator's and ROMs for ancient games now, it makes it easier to find games and gaming systems that would be otherwise near impossible to find in everyday life. I downloaded a Sega GameGear Emulator ages ago.

I downloaded one... and within 30 minutes my computer shut off. Just like gamegear!

Then I realized, hey, that emulator had a virus on it!

Lmao. ouch.. yeah I usually download emulators and ROMs from trusted sites, like Zophar's Domain for emulator's and ROMHustler for Rom's, two very good sites for what they offer.

    LMAO YES!

I loved Gamegear. The only thing I didn't like was the SIX AAA batteries it consumed ):

The only games I remember playing on it was Sonic and Home Alone, ahh those were the days!

Yeah, and those six batteries lasted for what... three hours tops? That was the big problem with that system. Other than that though, it owned. Great graphics, great titles.

Did you try replacing the batteries? :D I hope you can somehow get it working... it's so much fun to play on. Battle Toads is definitely one of my favorite games ever.

Meh, Gamegear was fun as heck back in the day, but I'd rather be playing Nintendo DS or Gameboy Advance nowadays.
