    Tips/Advice/Pointers?

I keep getting between 1400-2200ms buy times and it's killing me!

I'm guessing this is in the Attic? I'd be happy with 1400ms buys in the Main Shops :p

I think the programs need a combination of fast internet speed (for page loads) and computer speed (for processing commands).

As for the internet, limit how many devices you have using your connection to as little as possible. This will give your PC/Laptop/whatever the most network access available. Also, I have had better results using a wired connection than wireless. Not sure if thats just me but my wireless is a tad slower than a wired connection. Made about a 200-300ms difference on average.

As for your computer, on Windows, press CTRL + ALT + DELETE and start up the task manager. Open up processes and see if there is anything that is using CPU or Memory that you don't need. If you don't know, just start closing processes with large memory usage. It won't hurt your computer, if something goes wrong, just restart.

Also, try checking your ABer settings, some abers have options to limit the buying speed, or download images before buying which can result in a bit of time being added on.

Thats about the limit of my knowledge. Maybe somebody else can add some more insight.

    Faster computer/internet?

Try not to run other things at the same time? (MSN, etc)

I am wireless when I am on the comp and wired when I'm not. I have done quite a few things to try to make it quicker and the fastest I have seen is 1300ms and I'm still missing items. :(

1300ms is rather decent....Maybe you're just getting bad refreshes..?

    Are you restocking in Magic??

Mr Awesome pretty much summed it up. Only thing i'd add is monitor your network traffic. Theres tons of free tools that give live time updates of how much data you are receiving and sending. Run things that take alot of data like youtube and see how much data you can get out of it. Speed tests also work, But I prefer actual normal traffic in my tests then this flood of traffic those tests do. They tend to bounce around a lot and I get more accurate numbers myself.

In my mind, its most likely your internet. I've found even comcast and verizion with their fancy 20mb internet do ever let me get a full 20mb...

Unless your computer is less then a dual-core and less then 2 gb of memory. I found 2 gb of ddr2 with a intel core 2 duo and good internet gets pretty good buy times generally...

Hm I'll look into that more when I get home. Thanks Tharoux :p

I am sure mine will be quite a bit slower. I am getting 1200ms misses when I am plugged in and not wireless, wireless I get approx 1800ms+. Is it safe to get 500-800ms times in the attic? Cause if so then that's the goal I need to set for my internet when I move in the next two months XD

People are known to get buys below 500ms in the Attic. It's a very basic buy system, click and enter. It's very possible to do it under a second legitly.

I will PM you one once I get back home. Do you just want the first 13-16 or all 30?

    All of them.
I don't totally understand what you said in your previous post so it'll be easier to just look at it.

The tracert tries a total of 30 times that I saw. It'll be Monday before I am able to get them to you. I am at work and leaving asap :p

Will running an ABer as administrator make it go faster / allocate more resources to it?

I know right?! Well I might do it again and send you it from when I'm in the attic and see what you think then. It's slowed significantly down....

It basically depends on how fast your net is, where you live, and how close that location is to the servers.
