So I'm brand new here. Sort of getting interested in neopets again so I thought I'd give this forum a try. Looks cool so far.

I have a question. I have a fairly old neopets account that I really wouldn't want to be banned. If I want to use some of the programs on here to cheat, should I make new accounts on a proxy server and subtly transfer whatever profit I make so I can avoid getting that account banned?

And if I set up a proxy (in firefox) by going to tools -> options -> general -> connection settings, can I rest assured that when I run a program that I won't appear at all related to the account I don't want banned?

Basically, I'd like to know if there's any way neopets could track me besides the fact that I'll be transferring funds. (which obviously I'd have to be intelligent about) What proper security measures I should take.

    Appreciate the advice.

There is no sure fire way to be safe, I am pretty sure. Although, a proxy is a good way to be safer. You are taking a risk cheating. If you don't want that account iced then you better stick to the small programs such as the Igloo Autobuyer and some of the trainers we have here.

Gotcha. I'll try and come up with some creative way to minimize risk.

Thanks for the really fast responses.

Edit: Oh, and one final question. Are most programs here generally safe as far as viruses and stuff go? I understand that the site can't possibly check every program, but I'd be reassured if you could tell me, yes, in general. o_O

Absolutely yes. Every program on this site is checked and tested and approved before it's released to be bought. They're all pretty much guaranteed to be completely safe. :)

And welcome to NF. I like you already.

Yeah they are safe. I have never heard of anyone getting a virus.
