howto Check if CD is empty

    Have a bunch of cd's which im too lazy too manually check.
    Is there any visual way to figure out if the cd is empty or not?
    I was thinking something to do with its reflection?

    ive noticed that if the whole cd is the same color it is blank, but if it has data around it there should be a ring/rings. but maybe thats just the cds/dvds im using

    Yeah it has rings where the data stops
