Today, I was watching the news. It was some story about a burglary or something. I went to call my mom after, and still thinking about what I watched on the news, I dialed 911 by accident. Right away I noticed and hung up, then some operator called back and was questioning me.. ugh. -.- FML Me = Idiot. xD
That is pretty funny... I don't think that is so bad. I am more curious on how the conversation on the phone went... Can you dialog that back to us? It is common for our minds to think about the last thing we were doing without even realizing it.
Here's how it went. *phone ring* Me: fuck. *answers* Me: Hello? Operator: Hi this is a 911 operator, you called a couple minutes ago. Do you have an emergency? Me: No. You see: *describes whole story in first post* Operator: So everything is okay? Me: Yes Operator: You shouldn't call 911 if you don't have an emergency. We're very busy. Me: Yeah, I know. It was an accident. I'm sorry. Operator: Well, make sure it doesn't happen again. Me: Okay, bye. --- It was kindof scary, because I'm only 14 1/2 . And I was thinking she wouldn't beleive me, because I sound my age. xD
I'm not being condescending (except to the extent that what I'm about to say is inevitably so, a little bit >>), but that's frickin' adoreable. Hehehe. This made me smile. I remember when I was like seven a couple kids in our class dialed 911 from a pay phone. They had cops come and the cops scared the crap out of them and told them not to waste the time of law enforcement. Totally different story, but yeah, fun stuff.
Hahaha, when I was about 4, I remember being in my Grandma's apartment. I wanted someone to play with, so I called 911. The lady later called my grandma and questioned her.
When I was 7, my area code was 191, or 919, or something like that. I could never remember. So I accidentally dialed 911 and immediately hung up. Ten minutes later a policeman was at our door; I blamed my non-english-speaking grandmother :/
Area code 919 is the Raleigh-Durham area...I should know since I'm there now I bet it happens fairly often
