Well i would only use the lab on your pet if you don't mind it looking different, although the lab can increase and decrease your stats it will increase more than it will decrease your stats. I don't think you can totally ruin your pet though.
bad thing about lab is it mite make it so one of ur stats (usually hp) is very high but ur lvl isn't high enough to be able to train ur other stats at the school and of course the species/color changes etc
I def agree w/arson...the lab ray is a very fast way of training your pet, and you could also train in one of the schools as well...but there is a risk of your pet gettin changed completely...it could be a good change, and then again it could be a bad one....
Yeah i guess if your really rich you can do everything lol. Neggs, scrolls, lab and codestones/dubloons. Although using the lab might do what rapidah said and make it so you'll have to train your lvl mostly until it matches your other stats.
If its already a Darigan Lupe i would make a new pet and lab that, that way if it turns into something good then its a bonus.
if your just starting out go for the lab untill your scared to lose stats -remember to always check Coltzan's Shrine at least once a day -kitchen quests are good if they don't cost alot -and scratch cards can boost you up a bit if you get the arrow if your going for speed training use the training school that pays with codestones if your going for sumthing cheap (during the beginning of the training) use the acdemy that pays with dubloons
Fastest way for the rich is probably neggs..but even if not so rich you can still boost your pet up pretty fast. 1. Having one pet b/c doing kquest will only go to one u aim to train up.. 2. Move around a lot...this will increase your chance of getting faerie quests. Sometime I just put on refresher for that. 3. Lab ray...this can increase or decrease but more likely to increase HP...and more likely to increase than decrease overall. 4. Training school...if lab give you more hp than your level...then train level up. 5. Train smart...let say lvl 20 is 1 codestone..then max out what you can train before going to lvl 21...and this is very nice when something is 3x (hint)
Lab Ray is the best bet as far as afforability and speed go, I think. However, it will damage your defense. My lab pet has over 100 in all stats, except his defense is at like 30. We havn't had any really ugly zaps. He's a Brown Bori at the moment. But the thing is, never ever paint your pet before doing lab training. Of course its color and species will eventually change, its a given.
Yes, you can indeed destroy a pet with the lab. The lab effects are RANDOM, THEREFORE you can GAIN or LOSE stats.
I think you should go for it. The lab lay increased my pet's strength by 5 once. So, it's a gamble. You never know what will happen. Sometimes good, sometimes bad, but mostly good stuff.
You must be lucky. My friend kept zapping his kiko and his kiko isnt very good-only with a very high hp lol.
