So my upgrade package arrived from Sony today, and I've installed Windows 7 on my VAIO P, and my desktop.. using the same upgrade disk and key..

And I think I shouldn't have used it for my desktop.

Everything seems really out of proportion now in Firefox, even though my screen resolution and text size is the same as it was in Vista. It actually looks like I'm using my 1600*768 laptop, when I'm on 1280*1024.

Would the CD have had like crazy settings only the P should have used? :$

    I experienced another problem..

It changed back to the original DPI/resolution that I had while using Vista (ie. I had the text on 125%, and then it went gigantic, so I changed it back down to normal) .. then when I restarted, it went back to being tiny. Now I've had to change the DPI to medium (125%) and it's still annoyingly difficult to read, with horrible, horrible proportionality.

    WTF IS WRONG HERE.

Er....the first thing that comes to mind over the idea of upgrading to Windows 7 - how old is your desktop? (Windows 7 will take so much memory that older computers that weren't bought as the best of the time won't really be able to support it...)

Well I run Intel Quad Core, and I just upgraded my RAM to 6GB, so I don't think that's the problem :p

Will did you try uninstalling and installing video drivers...Sometimes therein lies the problem..

Try to do drivers update(if any)...

Some times vista drivers work well with windows 7...So try that too!!!

And also try changing refresh rate 60Hz to 59Hz...

Yeah it sounds like an issue with the drivers to me, depending on your vid card it may not have updated drivers for windows 7.
