Which one would you prevent? By untimely I mean anything out of natural, like assasination, acident, strange diseases, etc. I would so convince my friend's mother not to smoke, she died of a lung cancer when he was at the age of 12 and he suffered so much for her death. I'm totally against smoking and warn everyone I know not to do it.
I would have told the kid not to go home that day if I actually knew him.. The lady was running from the cops in her SUV when they pulled her over for a simple traffic violation. The kid was driving home from work (he worked with one of my friends) and got T-Boned by the lady. It's really sad. He left work, he was a dishwasher, and that was the last my friend saw of him. I didn't know him personally but any death of a 17 year old just breaks my heart.
I'd say either Martin Luther King or JFK :/. They are (were) both great people who really believed in equality.
If I had the chance, I can't say that I would. For starters, there's the whole space-time continum thingy, and I wouldn't want to mess with that not knowing what might happen. And second, it would be unfair to all the other people I could have saved.
Well, both my mums brothers died about 5-6 years ago when I was about 6 years old, I've never met them in my life but it really did affect my mum badly...they were the only brothers she had (she's got like 5 sisters) and they both died. All I know is that one died from an illness, which I do not know of. I would of loved to of met them though.

Yes, he was pretty old for the period when he lived. However someone think that he discovered the philosophers' stone, so... XD Anyway... I don't know so many people that died around me... (only for natural cases), except a boy, my neighbour, that died in a crash, in the saturday night, when he was coming back home. Well, I don't think I could have prevented it, 'cause I didn't have a great communication with him, but it was a really sad event for all his friends. A lot of friends came to his funeral, and when he was alive, he beleved that he didn't have real friends. As famous people... uhm, actually I have no idea. I think past story has a big number of people that deserve to be still alive for their greatness... but for the folks they and their acts wouldn't be known as they now are. The point is... I prefer to think that in the future there will be someone like them.
Maybe change this a bit. But I would go into my backyard and close the gate so my dog wouldn't of run away. And we never found him.
A good friend of our family died when she was 22 or so because she did not wear a seatbelt when she got thrown out of the car during an accident, she was one of my Mom's closest friends and she took the loss hard.
Last year when I was to school, a mom of a schoolmate had a heart attack too =( I felt so sad for my friend... but luckily she had to remain only few days to the hospital, and now she's quite fine.
