What do you think? Im so disappointed with it Its just a big itouch that doesnt really have any groundbreaking features. i want handwriting! if you havent seen, then http://www.apple.com/ipad Opinions?
I just think it is a big iPhone -calling, with a pay at your will plan. My brother is set on buying on, as the rest us try to talk him out of it lol I think it is cool, but I will wait for a next generation one, with actual ground breaking features. Since the second gen. is always better... ~parisdirt
It is useless, I'd rather get a notebook/laptop It can't even multi task....That is just pure fail. If you really do want to get one, as said before, wait for the next generation of iPads The first Ipod was really crap, but then they released upgraded versions Hopefully they will do the same with iPads.
Can't believe anyone in the world would be excited about this. It reminds me of when Microsoft released IE with "revolutionary tabbed browsing". The world snorted, because tabbed browsing had been around for years. Tablet computers have been around for almost a decade, Apple just now releases one - an expensive pile of crap with no more functionality than the average BlackBerry - and the world rejoices? What a joke.
IPad is the coolest thing in the universe!!! I'd buy one but too expensive for now. If ya need multi-tasking get a quad core desktop/laptop. If ya want groundbreaking features, go in future 30 years. Maybe and I mean, MAYBE they will get new ideas. It's currently not worth it but I'm sure they will make it worth it later.
I think its a good start towards a full touch computer lets get serious it isn't easy to make a full touchscreen computer
I'm laughing so hard at all this "It's a good first step towards a touch screen computer!!" Newsflash: The first step towards a touch screen computer was taken nine years ago. Fully fledged computers sporting fully functioning touch screens are neither new nor rare in 2010. This is why those of us with more active braincells than the average sponge cake are rolling our eyes at this. It isn't a step forward in touch screen or tablet computer technology, it's four running jumps, a cartwheel, a long hike and a brisk bicycle ride backwards in touch screen/computer technology.
seriously man take it down a notch please how is it a step backwards? you seen anything better lately.. exactly. you offer no proof or examples to support your arguement
Because it is newly released technology that is drastically inferior to already established technology of its type? That is more or less the exact definition of a technological step backwards. Wow. That's an awfully cocky response from someone that clearly has no idea what he's talking about. You know what makes it even worse? That you could have so easily spared yourself the humiliation of making your ineptitude so obvious by simply using Google to search for "Tablet PC", by verifying my assertions yourself, rather than simply assuming that they don't exist because I haven't posted any. Would you care to know why I haven't posted any examples? Because there are hundreds of them. There are hundreds of fully fledged tablet computers sporting all the same capabilities as a laptop computer along with a touch screen (You want proof? Google "tablet PC".) while this pitiful offering from Apple has LESS functions than the iPhone, let alone a laptop.
Lol at the 'seen anything better' comment. Arkley is 100% right. You wanna see better? Lenovo Thinkpad Tablets. Samsung Q1U. HP Tx2000. HP Compaq. Toshiba Portege. The list goes on and on...and on...and on. Those are all tablet laptops which offer real keyboards as well as a 'screen only' capability, an actual OS with real functionality, and oh yeah, the ability to multitask. Give me a break. The iPad is a big shiny toy.
Short and simple. 1- it needs an optical drive 2-needs USB, SSD 3- Needs to able to play flash this is nothing then a big itouch yes its perfect for email, internet reading books, what about printing?
The 3G is the only nice part about it. It doesn't have the features that it should. It's just a big itouch and not anything close to a computer. It also seems like it would be a pain to carry around because you would probably still need to carry your laptop around as well.
