It is one of the most painful I had to watch. A prostitute was framed for stealing the madame's ring. Since she was a top sweller she could not be bruised but needles won't leave visible marks. A older woman put the needles under her nails, in her eyelids, into her gums and various other places where needles were put and shown in graphic detail. Miike Takashi directed it as part of the Masters of Horror collection. I might check out deerwoman next.

Just reading that made me cringe, I am not a fan of needles and I am not a fan of horror movies. I think that I will giving this one a pass! :D

Ah, well you're missing a good one but I really think anyone who can take the needle scene is a very disturbed or just really tough person because I almost pass out from it.

    Is that Japanese based?

Some Japanese horror movies are banned in the U.S. because they are so graphic and well, literally too caked up for our nation.

But then the ones that the Americans remake just don't seem to cut it with the originals.
The Ring and The Grudge just don't live up to the Jap originals.
Just like the dubbed anime (Naruto, Bleach, One piece) pretty much suck compared to the jap versions.

And you could always download them, if you are feeling a bit blood thirsty

That's the kind of thing that you don't ever want to see but know you have to. Well, for me anyway.

    Kinda like Scarred on MTV.

Yes, it is japanese based but was made for Americans to view. The director even had the actors learn english just for this movie. it is one or those rare ones that they actually let come here.
