I read that Neopets only logs IPs for when you login. After you login, you can turn off your proxy and Neopets would not notice.

I'm not 100% sure about this but I've asked around and the consensus seems to be that its true.

So for Acheteur Ultime, it could be made so that after logging in with the IP:port proxy, it abandons the proxy. This will speed up buys and general performance of Acheteur Ultime.

I'm not sure if this is already implemented but I think its not because Acheteur Ultime warns that using a proxy will slow performance.

    Discuss.

    I love you

Edit to avoid spam: If we can get a programmer, or anyone who can detect if TNT is requesting your IP to confirm this, I'm sure expon would be more than happy to incorporate it into his ABer

How can we confirm this in a timely manner though? I'm wondering if any programmer here has heard of this.

I'm not a programmer however this has been raised before with what pages are logged/tracked by TNT in regards to IP's.

Logging out and Logging in seemed to be the agreed pages but I don't think anyone knew if any other pages were or were not logged also.

Maybe this time we'll know for sure :p

Can anyone speak with experience on which pages are IP-logged by Neopets?

Theoretically would this work for score sending as well or is that a whole different ball game? (no pun intended) I get proxy delays of over 2-3 seconds so would decreasing buytime be advised? This would be amazing if true also wouldn't just unchecking the proxy button just work after you log in from AU?

Expon told me that it would work.

I'm not sure about scoresending. Hell, I'm not even sure about TNT not logging your IP at any places after you login.

We really need to do some testing to be sure and even then, TNT can always change their system.

So if you uncheck the proxy after it has logged in, it will run on your normal ip?

lol people have been doing this for a long time. Guess it wasn't common knowledge.
But yeah, that's how you can still cheat while IP banned. You don't need to keep the proxy active the entire time, just when you log into the site.

There's no way to confirm that they don't log your IP elsewhere though. So its still always better to stay on the safe side if you have valuables you want to protect.

Well Zer0, I am pretty sure they don't because my college is IP banned, and I am able to log on through a proxy, and never get logged off or anything, which it seems like they would do if they were still tracking the IP

Well its not particularly difficult to track IPs so the code could be on pages outside of the login. Now whether or not they do anything with that IP is a different story.

Neat way of confirming it. Do you mind browsing the site to see if there are certain pages that log IP?

I have tried a ton of proxy addresses and monitored the speeds.

Most importantly, you need to make sure that the proxy address that you are using is within your country and area. For example, I am from Singapore, if I used a proxy address/server from Canada, I am bound to get 2 - 3 seconds lag. If I used a proxy address/server from Singapore, my proxy lag drops to 0.5s. I'd remove all the time delays and I'd restock more stuffs.

Best way, if you have extra $$ is to buy your own local server. Shouldn't cost too much.

    Hope this helps.
