I finally got them! After 10 months of no connection, I decided to call my landlord. 15 minutes later and I'm surfing the world wide web. This thread is about a) Congratulting me b) Telling me how much you missed me And I've missed you guys a ton
Nope. I've been mooching wifi on my phone when I've had the oppertunity. But I haven't really been active for almost 10 months. Actually, it's more like 6 or 7 months since I borrowed a laptop from a friend for a while. But then my neighbor with the wifi moved. :/
i'm with zero on this one after only 2 weeks of no internet i was about to go out, buy a gun and shoot myself in the face but WOW! 10 months! i would've surely been in the corner in the fetal position rocking back and forth xD oh and welcome back!
It was hard at first. I spent days, nay, even weeks just staring at my monitor. Eventually, I ran out of food and needed to gather some more. Since the usual online pizza delivery wouldn't work anymore, I prepared. I took a shower, brushed my teeth and dressed myself in clothes made of strange materials. "Jeans" they called them. I hiked to the store, I vaguely remembered what roads to travel from the time before I moved. At the top of the hill I could see a bright shine. I flinched at the light and fell on my back. I was unconcious for several hours. Once I woke up, my sight was drawn towards the light once again. It was almost like a display of some sort, but the material wasn't the same. It was plastic and it looked antiquated, and I could read the words "Grocery - Open 7-23". I took my 1st gen iPhone, at this time my only link to the modern world, from my pocket and looked at the display. "22:56" it said. There was still time. I rushed towards the building and it didn't take me long to find the entrance. Doors made of glass slided to the sides and left me an opening. I was scarred at first, but thought to myself "To hell with it...", I was not going to miss my chance so I jumped straight into this mysterious portal with my eyes closed. When I opened my eyes, I saw something that I hadn't seen for ages. I had only seen this on pictures and in my bathroom. It was a person. Another living human being. Outside of it's lcd-screen filled nest. After gathering the necessary products I walked to this human being that I percieved to be a man, judging by the images I had seen online and some repressed memories. The man started having a conversation with me, which resulted in me leaving him some money before walking out of the building. This became a daily ritual for me, and each time I saw more and more humans, of both sexes and various ages. I even saw animals and babies. Eventually, I traveled further and started engaging social contacts with human beings and long lost friends. But now my journey has ended, as my internet connection has finally been restored. It was a beautiful experience, but there's no place like home. In front of a computer screen. tl;dr: Spoiler there's more to life than sitting in front of a computer
1. Congratulations 2. I missed you. Didn't you already make a thread o.0 http://www.neofriends.net/post309155.html????
Let's be honest, you had internet access to a t3 connection 24/7. You were just afraid of the interwebs after being r-r-r-r-rick rolllled too many times.
Hey Virre! Welcome back! A lot has happened in the past few months, you might want to get somebody to fill you in.
