Anyone think that this is worth it? They are going to be retired and their price might go up in the future.

and the fire yooyu dropped to about half its price in a week and im considering investing in it too. Worth it?

Mainly the fire yooyu dropped because TNT just released some yooyus. But we all must remember that it is still a fire "almost limited" edition pet so it will most likely go up. Try the investment.

I think it'll be worth it in the long run, but considering I just self-iced my main last week, and all I have left are some shells I'm going to sell, I don't have the NPs for it right now. xD

After all, thinking about Snowbunny and Meowclops - Advent Calendar prizes that have ended up very profitable. (Though Meowie did deflate again recently...have they re-inflated yet?)

they're worth about 6m right now, not sure if that means that they've re-inflated

Yeah, they haven't re-inflated yet, then. They were up at 9mil a while back; dropped to 6mil recently.

I don't think the new Yooyus will inflate that fast. I'm sure the demand won't be that high on this year's yooyus and there will be more out there. You're better off inflating other stuff. Like original Yooyus. :p

Don't use Meowies and Snowbunnies as the standard here. The reason they've inflated so much isn't just because they're retired - it's because they are avatar petpets too. Unless TNT release a Yooyu avatar where you need to have Yooyu attached or whatever, they're very unlikely to reach Meowy level.

It's slightly likely that they'll release a Yooyu avatar though, with the petpets being a big part of the Altador Games.

Ohh, that's certainly a good point. I'd forgotten about that. :/

I'll agree with acrasie on inflating the original Yooyus, or at least different colored ones, especially considering the basics this year are rather ugly looking...if Faerie Yooyus ever come out, those would make great inflation targets.

Aren't colored petpets very HTS to begin with? I don't see them being a very hot item, ever. Maybe if they looked color, but TNT kinda screwed us wth all the prizes. Watch them make those colors paintable in the future...

I could give you a lot of reasons why you shouldn't invest in Yooyus.

It'd be a much smarter idea to just invest in retired books, stamps, cards, and other such things that will certainly (or close enough to) go up in price. Things like Seasonal Stamps, Sophies Cookbooks, Faerie Cloud Racers, etc

I just made do with the one Yooyu I bought with the points I earned. Major bummer there was no stamp this year, but I wasn't too disappointed since I didn't expect much from the prices anyway. Heh.

I'm curious. Mind enlightening us? :)

Yooyus are a decent investment, but I would recommend investing in seasonal stamps. Maybe even retired books.
