I realised that 'transparent' ips are much easier to find than anonymous or elite ones.
Will I get iced by TNT if multiple AB using transparent ips? and like only ever use anonymous ones?

    Thanks.

transparent will do nothing really. It just sends your real ip adress anyways, so don't bother with them. anonymous and elite proxies are the best ones to get, as TNT never sees your real ip adress.

Will just ANY proxy work for neopetting? I've searched for proxies before on the internet and I get two different kinds of results... the first kind are proxifying websites that supposedly let you surf anonymously and the second are lists of proxy ips that, not being a programmer, I have no idea how to use. If you can use the websites, I'm in. If not, I'm hosed.

Proxy surfing websites have a handful of proxies which they rotate. When you chose to explore a website via their browser proxy you are allocated a proxy at random from the pool they have. If the site is popular, then hundreds of people can wind up using the same proxy and thus it displays that they are coming from the same IP as someone else. If your trying to avoid a ban or something, then this is rather self defeating.

The other proxies you have come across are HTTP proxies which you can use just like a browser site. Simply get the Proxy IP and port and (if in firefox) Go:
TOOLS> OPTIONS > ADVANCED > SETTINGS > MANUAL PROXY CONFIGURATION and then enter in the IP:pORT and your all set.

However if your getting your proxies from a site like www.samair.ru then odds are a lot of other people are using the same Proxy, thus it will be extremely slow. It's best to start logging proxies now which are in the same country as you, and then in a few days use them.

Also, there are a lot of forums out there where you can buy fresh, private proxies which are not used by anyone else. They are extremely fast and can be bought for a very cheap price.
