I used iphone 4, 5, s3. Personally preferred iphone over S2/s3... camera specs may seem lower but picture quality is better. Doesn't have annoying ads coming up... smaller (I can put in my pocket). Why are you going for s2? not s3 or note 2
I would go the iPhone 4S. In my opinion, it's much smoother, easier to use, and there are much more APPS.
Prices are more favourable for an iphone, but the androids seem to be almost better at everything. Texting, pictures, web browsing.. although the iphone is more affordable, with a specific provider (virgin) whats the difference between the s2 an s3? what are the improvement an upgrades?? Im fairly illiterate when it comes to smart phones an ipad's...
S3 has a 4.8" Super AMOLED Plus display (Pentile Matrix) at 306 ppi, while the S2 has a 4.3" Super AMOLED display. A lot of people complain about the Pentile Matrix, but Samsung put that there to get more ppi, a marketable number. The camera features on the S3 are much superior than the S2 with Image Stabilization, Burst Mode, etc. The international versions of the S3 has an Exynos 4412 (which is a quad-core Cortex-A9 chip) versus the Exynos 4212 (dual-core Cortex-A9). The 4412 has much better performance with an improved GPU (Mali 400 I think?) Remember, the U.S. versions of the S3 have Snapdragon S4 (dual-core Krait Cortex-A15-like chip). The Snapdragon S4 dual-core in the U.S. versions is competitive with the quad-core Exynos 4412 because the S4 features Krait architecture that is very similar to the Cortex-A15 architecture that is going to release in 2013. RAM is 2 GB in the S3 as opposed to 1 GB in the S2. Pretty much the differences.
Are the games on the s3 in a really high-res? Im assuming so.. how much slower do the apps make the phone, in comparison to an Iphone?
I would definitely recommend a Galaxy phone over an iPhone. I switched a couple of months ago from an iPhone 4 to a Galaxy S3. Everything runs super smoothly and being able to install any App, not just those in the app store, is amazing.
Well, the network provider's coverage does, but if you're talking about features and gaming performance, that is really on the phone. I have the new Nexus 4, which if you guys don't know, is an official Google Android phone that sold out within the first 30 minutes in the U.S., U.K., France, and a bunch of other countries. It is probably one of the cheapest phones that come without a contract, and with the Snapdragon S4 Pro SoC, it is also one of the fastest phones out there.
I've had the iPhone 4s for a little over a year now and I love it, I have no complaints. Definitely a good investment. I also have friends who have gone with the Galexy only to bring it back and get iPhones. It really all is just personal taste though, so I'd suggest going into a store and playing around with both to see which feels better in your own hands.
I ended up getting the iphone, mainly based upon other people's opinions an for the most part, people seem quite satisfied with them. It was enough for me to go with it lol
