Is it possible....

to change all the threads so the most recent post is at the top when you enter it. I know I can go into individual threads and change it so the most recent post is at the beginning. I would like to know if it is possible to change all of them at once.? :roll:

Thats what the grave digging rule is about. So posts that haven't been posted on for 3 days just die and keep dying xD If you post a new topic it appears at the top and if people keep posting on it, it will stay at the top. The current way makes sense because popular and new topics are at the top of the page ^^ If I posted a thread that no one wanted to respond to there is no point in it staying at the top is there?

 

That isn't what i meant. My bad, my apologies for not explaining properly.

Say if I went into a topic that was 53 pages long, the oldest post is at the top of page 1 and the most recent post is at the bottom of page 53. It is possible to change this so the most recent posts are on page 1 and the oldest on page 53. I was wondering if there was a permanent way of keeping the most recent posts at the top of page 1 instead of page 53.

Does this make more sense?

It would be a great idea, I'm pretty sure you can't do it at the moment. I suggest putting it as a suggestion and getting Expon to integrate it into the new forum!

You made sense the first time . I'm not sure if they can do that but I personally like it the way it is. I usually read the first page anyway even if it's old to see what's going on and what it is about.

 

I don't think that's a good idea. Normally you have to read the starter's post to understand what the boards about =o

 

I've seen forums where you could click an icon to go to the newest post in a topic rather than the first page, maybe that would be good? I can see it being especially useful for topics where lots of discussion goes on, such as the debate it! forum.

 

You know what would be a good idea? A search bar because I have so many questions but I don't want to create a new topic because the question might have already been answered but I don't have the time to open every single thread to check.
