Hey guys, my name's Rena and I'm new here, so I'm not sure if I posted this in the right section. Please pardon me if I made a mistake! Anyway, I was wondering if there's such a Firefox add-on which automatically highlights a specific word (or phrase) when the page loads. I managed to find add-ons which highlight all occurrences of the word when you manually highlight it, but am actually looking for an add-on which automatically highlights the word on page load. Is there such an add-on? Thank you so much in advance!
Hi! I moved this to Computers and Tech forum. I don't know of any add-on that does this, but this can be accomplished using a GreaseMonkey script. Try asking in this forum: scripting-f51/ to see if anyone is willing to write this script for you.
well why would someone make a firefox addon for that lol, you can search the add-on page at: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/
I don't think so, but there is a way that firefox will highlight a word as you type it. This can be done by going to: Tools > Options > Advanced > general tab > then check the box that says "Search for text when I start typing.
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/377 SearchBox Companion - Autohighlight at the opening of a new tab if previous tabs have words highlighted (option)
(Thank you for moving this to the right section, Zer0. Will note this next time when posting similar topics!) I'm asking this because I want to make use of such an add-on (if any) to restock, because my eyes are seriously terrible at scanning the page. Although I know they can be trained... but hehheh, just trying my luck xD Alright, I'll try out the methods suggested. Thank you so much, all!
