Is VB Similar to other languages?

    I am very good with Action Script (flash) and pretty good with Java but have been warned away from the basic languages because of the syntax and structure. I am pretty reliant on object orientation, would vb be an ok choice if I wanted to make these kinds of programs or should I look elsewhere?

    You should be okay with VB if you know Java. :)
