As confirmed in the editorial, there's a new perk for aged accounts. Anyways, I haven't seen anyone gathering any data on this so I thought I'd start. I'll be updating this as I go along. Assumptions/Notes * 'Perk' is not affected by item rarity! * I'll only be testing normal books since the sample size for Booktastics is too small * My account is 100+ months, so I definitely qualify. * This isn't going to be accurate, because of the small sample, until I get more data! ------------------------------------- [customtable=]Books Read:125 Books Kept: 2 Rate: 1.60%[/customtable]
Well I haven't been keeping track of how many books I've read, but my account is 70+ months old and the other day it let me keep 1 book. That's the first time it happened to me. Do you think it also depends on the pets' intelligence?
I doubt it. Nothing has been stated can lead to that conclusion. For this experiment, I think it'll be difficult to get a solid range. It would be the same as trying to calculate the probability of secret lab maps or transmogrification potions in REs, etc.
updated. assuming the perk is randomly and it only takes into account age of account then we can get a pretty good estimate of the rate it occurs right now, i'm seeing it happen at a rate of about ~2% of course it doesn't mean that if you read 100 books, you WILL DEFINITELY keep 2 books speaking in wow terms, i'm trying to see how often it 'procs' /edit i can speel
Thanks for the data. I wish they'd make better perks -.- This will however really help those going for the book award, so, yay for them.
